The word Tawahhush in Arabic was a strategy created by Abu Bakr Naji in the mid
2000s. The strategy is to separate (arabic: Baraa) yourself from others in socie
ty and to not have sympathy or love for them, to strengthen yourself in seclusio
n and then attack when the time is right. A Wahsh in Arabic is a Wolf who doesn'
t care for any other animal except his own wolf pack.
Someone who does the act of Tawahhush is a 'lone wolf'. A lone wolf who does not
care about where he lives, but only wants to support those who have the same go
als as him.
When a wolf is outside by himself and sees some prey, he will try to attack it.
Then he will return home; victorious, injured or kilted. The results will be tha
t other wolves will be inspired by him, some of them will get closer to him and
want to support him, or others will seek revenge.
The lone wolf believer is always looking for an opportunity to get hold of somet
hing to use to attack his enemy severely. He ideally will use a weapon, but if h
e cannot - he will use something like a knife or car to crash into the enemy. Hi
s enemy is those who are at war with the Muslims, ranging from police to soldier
s, and even politicians. Anyone who has enmity and makes life difficult for beli
evers is a target.
A few minutes before carrying out his attack, the lone wolf will claim responsib
ility for the attack on social media (saying his group did it, and showing what
his claim of allegiance is to i.e. the Caliphate). He will email newspapers, or
@ journalists on social media or fellow supporters of his cause on social media
anonymously [i.e. using a proxy].) So when the attack takes place - it can be at
tributed to the lone wolf groups ideology. If the attack is not advertised well
on social media, journalists cannot prove a supporter did it, and therefore it w
ill be portrayed as a criminal act only and not an ideological one.
The goal of Dramatic lone wolf attacks is to get media attention. Its goal is to
show weakness of the powerful enemy, and to inspire the oppressed people so the
y realise that they too can do similar attacks.
If lone wolf attacks keep increasing, the police will become more aggressive aga
inst the oppressed people. This oppression will force more of the oppressed peop
le to defend themselves using armed means. Attacks against parked police cars,po
lice stations will take place, weapons will be captured, and gradually a war wil
l begin.
Small cells [or 'wolf packs'] (of 1 to 5 individuals who trust each other) will
do 'hit and run' tactics against the police enemy. If many independent small cel
ls form, an insurgency can begin. Insurgencies involve many small, independent c
ells of Armed people hitting an enemy and then going into hiding. These cells wo
rk independently and never try to connect with each other because their strength
is in their anonymity and small numbers. If they all work together as 1 group,
their anonymity will vanish and if one is imprisoned from the group, he will be
tortured and give the names of everyone. This is why small, independent cells ar
e best, as Abu Mus'ab al-Suri strategised.
In Urban warfare, they will cover their faces, hit the enemy, escape on motorcyc
les and flee. They have to know the terrain well, the entire city has to be mapp
ed out well in their mind so even if the police searched everywhere, it will be
exhausted by the end of the search. This is why you will see the Mujahideen in I
raq in the mid 2000s went underground in the sewage systems to escape, or in the
deserts to escape after they had hit an enemy. This is how knowledgable the Mu

jahid has to be about his city and environment where he conducts his Urban warfa
re. It is like a cat and mouse chase, you are weaker and smaller but you have mo
re places to hide.
In the West, once Cells ['wolf packs'] have come out to carry out their attack,
they will have to fight till the death because the Intelligence agencies have c
ameras everywhere. However, as lone wolf attacks and revenge attacks (by Muslims
and neo-Nazis') increase, instability will spread = more lawlessness = more fre
edom of movement for Mujahideen.
Mujahideen who have entered Europe from Syria are at this stage building up on t
heir weapons arsenal and mapping out the locations of the cities.
But before any insurgency begins, it starts off with small attacks. Lone wolf at
tacks or Small cell attacks is how it all begins. These attacks can include soft
targets to 'steal' money or get weapons. Once these become the norm, a gradual
insurgency will begin.
