All therapists listed are Aurovilians and practice therapy in the vision of Sri
Aurobindo and The Mother. Integral Yoga implies seeing ones role as a therapist as
a catalyst, trusting the inherent knowing and source of healing in each human
being. The intention of therapy is to activate the bodys self-healing processes,
leading to an integrated re-alignment and balance on all levels of the being mind, emotion, body and spirit.

Acupuncture
Is based upon the ancient Chinese knowledge of the meridians or energy pathways
running through the body. It uses ultra-fine needles, which are inserted into
precise points along the meridians, to clear energy blockages and stimulate the
overall energy flow. It treats a wide variety of conditions, acute to chronic,
hormonal, neurological and inflammatory.

This is a healing profession certified by the German government which allows the
legal practice of alternative medicine for most medical conditions, except medical
emergencies and serious infectious diseases. It is either a fulltime or part-time 3
year training in general medicine, naturopathy, homoeopathy, Bachflower
Remedies, Biochemical tissue salts, acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine,
etc. After certification by the German Health Department, healing practitioners
usually do specialised training and /or internships in homoeopathy, acupuncture,
craniosacral therapy, osteopathy, psychotherapy, etc. for another 3 years or more,
before opening their private clinic. Most German Health Insurance
Companies cover the cost of treatment.
Similar training and certification for Naturopathy or the practice of alternative
