Sika® MonoTop-110 SL

Self levelling mortar screed

Sika®MonoTop-110 SL is a self-levelling cementitious polymer modified onecomponent ready-mix mortar screed.

Characteristics /

Self-levelling toppings as a substrate for synthetic floor coatings, carpets or
wooden parquet,
Levelling or patching concrete surfaces in houses and other interior
It supplies a smooth surface on the surface of concrete when properly applied
with it’s self levelling property
Easy to apply with it’s good flowability
Supplies a self-levelling toppings as a substrate for carpet, wooden parquet,
ceramic, marble, PVC coats etc.
High early and final mechanical strengths
Economical in use
High surface hardness

Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be structurally sound and free from all traces of loose material,
laitance, oil and grease. Any unsound material must first be removed. If it will be
applied on to the new concrete surface, the concrete should has enough strengths
and completed it’s settlement.
For rough and absorbent surfaces, substrate should be primed with a bonding coat
of Sika Latex: water 1:1-2 mixed with fresh cement or with Sika Astar by brushing

Water is added to the pre-mixed powder to suit the consistency required, usually
4,50 to 4,75 liters per 25 kg bag.
Pour the mixing water in to the enough volume container. Mix mechanically with a
slow speed drill (max. 600 RPM), by adding powder in to the container. Continue
the mixing (approx. 3 min.) until a smooth even consistency is achieved.

The flowable prepared mortar is applied on to the prepared substrate by pouring.
A suitable rubber or metal trowel can be used to spread specially for porous
Layer thickness (for each application);
min. 5 mm.
max. 15 mm.
Levelling for higher thickness should be made in layers.

~ (1,6 - 1,8) kg/m per one mm layer thickness.

New applied screed mortar should be kept by curing against premature water loss
if it’ll be exposed to weather conditions. Enough care should be shown about curing
