Accounting firm adds new tax director


Dr. Richard Alltizer has
joined Arledge & Associates as
tax director, the Edmond accounting firm announced.
Alltizer, a Certified Public Accountant, brings more than 30
years of experience to his position at the firm. Among his specialty areas are tax research,
general accounting, financial reporting, property tax preparation
and income taxes. Allitzers background includes academic work,
having taught numerous college
undergraduate and graduate
courses.
Richard brings an impeccable
background to the role of tax director, said Jim Denton, managing partner. Richards industry
and academic experience, as well
as his high standards of service
and professionalism, will benefit
our firm and our clients.
Alltizer earned his accounting
degree from the University of
Central Oklahoma and his Masters of Accountancy and Ph.D.

Judy Schachner, nationally

September.
Judy will be at Best of Books
from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday,
Sept. 15. She will speak about her
new character at 5:30 p.m. The
event is free and open to the public.Dewey Bob is a raccoon seeking unexpected friendship.
"This is a much gentler story,
with a very different story line
and style," she said. "I've always
loved raccoons," Judy recently
told Publishers Weekly.
Judy's appearance at Book Expo
America in New York created long
lines of fans. Judy and the characters she creates are beloved by
many of BOB's customers and
their children, and Best of Books
expects a similar response to
her visit in Edmond.

33 Years For Edmond Womens Club

The Edmond Womens Club kicked off their 33rd year on Aug. 27 with over 70 attendees, including
seven club presidents. Founding member, Saundra Naifeh, discussed the positive impact that EWC
has had on our community, both in volunteer hours and in the $3 million the club has distributed in
scholarships and grants. Sherry Jordan, current president, announced that there are a record 53 provisionals for the club year. The club will be hosting their 4th annual Merry Marketplace at Gaillardia
Country Club on Friday, Nov. 20 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at
