Chlor Alkali Process

Chlor alkali is processing a salt solution (NaCl) into Cautic (NaOH) and chlorine (Cl 2).
The process by electrolysis of a saline solution. Electrolysis is a method of using a direct electric
current (DC) to drive an otherwise non-spontaneous chemical reaction. Electrolysis is
commercially highly important as a stage in the separation of elements from naturally occurring
sources such as ores using an electrolytic cell.

This process starts from brine treatment process that sends the salt that has been pure of
impurities (Mg, Ca, Fe, Si, and SO4) into the process electrolisis, after going through the process
of electrolysis, Chlorine, Caustic hypo is produced to be handled by each process , such as,
chlorine (Cl2) will be handled by handling chlorine gas which cholrine towards HCL Plant and
cholrine liquid toward storage. While Caustic Caustic will be handled by caustic handling and
hypo entered into the hypo system, another case in the electrolysis process has contain impurities
in the brine treatment dechorination before entering the electrolysis process anymore.
This Process will produced – Caustic (NaOH) 120 TPD

Cholrine (Cl2) 109 TPD

The Process of CA : OverAll Reaction 2NaCl + 2H2O + e. 2NaOH + H2 + Cl2 Intermediate Reactions 2NaCl  2Na+ + Cl2 + 2e- 2H2O + 2e-  OH. Cholrine dioxide ClO2 plant is the manufacturing process of chlorate (NaClO3) and hydrochloric acid (HCL) ClO2 is composed of Intergereted ClO2 Plant 1 (50 TPD) Intergereted ClO2 Plant 2 (54 TPD) Intergereted ClO2 Plant 5 (12 TPD) Intergereted ClO2 Plant 3 (36 TPD) .+ H2 Na+ + OH-  NaOH CLO2 process.

Reaksi reaksi di CLO2 Plant Overall Reaction Salt + water + electricity  Sodium Chlorate + Hydrogen NaCl + 3H2O + e  NaCLO3 + 3H2 Intermediate Reaction 1. Cautic + Chlorine  Sodium Hypoclorate + Salt + Water 2NaOH + Cl2  NaOCl + NaCl + H2O . then use hydrolic acid that has been produced is dissolved again with water and sodium strong chlorine dioxide cholrate into production so as to produce cholrine dioxide. while weak chlorine will be refunded le Hydrolic Acid production for dissolved again. while weak chlorate who did not respond will be sent again to sodium cholrate production to be processed with electrik which will generate strong chlorate and hydrogen to Hydrolic Acid production. This process begins with Strong cholrine feed. Salt + water + electricity  Sodium Chlorate + Hydrogen 2NaCl + 2H2O + e  2NaOH + H2 + Cl2 2. hydrogen and water are mixed into Hydrolic Acid Production. to produce Hydolic acid.

Sodium Hypochlorite + Hypoclorous Acid  Sodium Chlorite + Hydrochloric Acid NaOCl + 2HOCl  NaClO3 + HCl CLO2 Generator Reaction OverAll Reaction NaClO3 + 2.
