Hey everybody, Bkstunt here with a guide for The Evil Within's third and
last DLC: The Executioner!
Unlike the other two DLC's, this one is not REALLY story based. Well... it
is a bit, but nothing like the other two. No, instead this DLC is much more
"combat based" and gives you combat challenges. What really makes this weird
is that you are NOT controlling Sebastian or Kidman at all. You are now
controlling... THE KEEPER! Or, as this DLC calls him, "The Executioner!".
I wasn't going to initially cover this DLC, but after doing the main game
and the other two DLC's... eh, why not!? I recently played through it for
the third time for 100% trophies and figured I could put something out.
I wrote for the main game with my friend Absolute Steve, so this DLC chapter
has a bit of his influence in it along with some of my old formatting. Sort-of
a mesh that hopefully works. By the way, if you are looking for a guide for the
main game, here you go:

Continuation of STEM operational testing:

Welcome back to The Evil Within!

This DLC focuses on combat, as mentioned before, but does have SOME story.
After the document above, we are told our goal is to go into STEM and eliminate
everything inside in order to rescue our daughter. Doing this is required as
her memory is slowly being erased otherwise.
Our "form" is also not our own. This should be to our advantage.
As soon as you wake up you will see a note in front of you. Get used to your
new form and pick up the [_MOBIUS DIRECTIVE 01_] when you are ready to continue
on.

Outside you can smash the barrels you find for MEMORY TOKENS. These are the
currency of this DLC and we will use them to level up our weapons and our
abilities. You can often find them in random boxes and barrels, but not always
so it is always up to you to break boxes if you wish. Personally, I go and
break big groups of boxes, but not smaller ones. You never get many tokens
this way either, just FYI.
Head towards the manor and enter the gate. Head to the doors for a quick
scene showing an enemy. This is a tutorial of sorts, instructing us on how
to THROW and EXECUTE enemies. Go ahead and try it out: you'll see that whenever
you stagger an enemy you will gain the throw and execute options. This applies
to all smaller, normal enemies. Some bigger enemies later on cannot be thrown.
Also note that if you HOLD DOWN the attack button you will do a string of
attacks. Very good to know as well!
(-NOTE-) On subsequent play-throughs, the doors will open to the manor but
there will be no enemy... no need for a tutorial anymore, right!?
Head inside and you'll see an apparition of your daughter. Walk up to her
and pick up the [_DAUGHTER'S DIARY 1_] once she is gone. There are plenty of
these scattered throughout the game and we'll get a trophy for collecting them
all. They are all very easy to find though, so don't worry too much and keep
playing along with me!
To the left of the picture is the save point. Go ahead and enter now. The
mirror here can save your game. Next to the mirror is another document you'll
want to grab, [_DAUGHTER'S DIARY 2_].
The safe here is the SHOP and is
There is a number of items we can

a NEW GAME + in fact! In general, just buy
and defense will surely help newer players
the trophies you'll end up buying everything

(-NOTE-) Look at the SHOP TABLE at the end of the guide for upgrade prices,
what all the shop sells, and when it all unlocks. This is because
it is SLIGHTLY SPOILER-ISH, and I don't want to ruin anything for
you. Don't bother with looking at it if you don't want to see the
bosses coming up (although... you've seen them all before, so...).
The game will tell you when something new is available for purchase,
so you aren't missing anything here.
Once you are done head out and notice all the doors here are blocked. Go
upstairs and those are blocked too... all but the middle one. Enter that and
note the part to the left (it gives us a barb wire trap, but we are full) and
then do a Memory Scan where your daughter is. You'll uncover a locket and
[_DAUGHTER'S DIARY 3_]. This is all the room has for us, but the game will
tell us to "Find a Mobius File" after that, so head back downstairs again and
you'll find it on a column nearby. It is [_MOBIUS DIRECTIVE 02_], and tell us
what our first objective will be.
After the directive, the door to out left (the one we are facing) will open
for us. This leads to our first boss fight. Head inside the dining room and
BEFORE you head to the back do a Memory Scan and you'll see a file on the left

wall: [_DAUGHTER'S DIARY 4_]. Head into the door leading to the back now and
DUCK under the trip-wire here. Tricky! Further in is a single enemy you can
kill and a bunch of barrels. You'll come to the kitchen soon, where you'll see
a file on the graffiti-covered wall, [_TRANSCRIPT, SUBJECT CB-212_].
After reading the file, a portal will open up to our first boss fight. This
DLC is all about these boss-fights, so let's jump right into it!
,---'\____________________________________________________________________/`---.
--- BOSS: THE SADIST --`---./\,---'
This is definitely the easiest of all of the boss fights. You
barn area from Chapter 3. There's barrels to be broken here as
upstairs (and a part item). To begin with, two regular enemies
so take them out at your leisure. Note that you can throw them
walls in the barn if you wish.

are in the
well as some
will spawn in
into the spike

After the two enemies are dead, the SADIST will spawn in. Taking him down is
extremely simple. All he really does is try and swipe at you with his chainsaw,
something that you can dodge away from easily. Heck, dodging itself isn't even
really needed: you can walk close to him and get him to swing at you while you
walk back slightly. He will miss and you can plunk him on the head.
He's got quite a bit of health, so this will take a little bit. After losing
about 33% of his health, more enemies will spawn right where he came from. A
TON of them. Up to six. It is a GREAT IDEA to go up the stairs now and fend
them off. There's another huge plus with this: they will group together and
the Sadist will mow them down. Yes, the BOSSES CAN KILL REGULAR ENEMIES. That
is VERY important to know! You can take advantage of that all game long! He
is also VERY VULNERABLE to Barb-Wire Traps.
With the herd culled, continue to focus on the Sadist and you'll kill him
off soon enough. He is worth {_30 MEMORY TOKENS_]. After killing him you will
be transported back to the manor.
You have also unlocked the [_CHAINSAW_], which you can now by in the shop.
,---'\____________________________________________________________________/`---.
--- BOSS: DEAD --`---./\,---'
Back in the manor you will see the family portrait gets a good bloodstain on
it and we are told to find a new file (that shows up right in front of us...
"find" is a bit of a stretch). Pick up this [_MOBIUS DIRECTIVE 03_] for the
next objective. You will see the door to our right is now opened this time.
Save and shop if you wish, then head to the next area.
(-NOTE-) After saving and coming back, EXECUTION CHAMBER #1 is opened up.
Although it is optional, you can challenge it now. I recommend it
just to get used to the combat more and get some more Memory Tokens.
I will put all three of the EXECUTION CHAMBERS in the format below,
so you can skip them easily if you want.
==============================================================================

EXECUTION CHAMBER #1
==============================================================================
This chamber is really simple, as you may expect from the first one you can
do. In it we are transported to a modified version of the manor with no
staircase or anything. Several eyes are scattered around the room to spawn
in enemies, and some will drop down from above as well.
In here you will be attacked by a single enemy from above, then a few groups
of enemies, in groups of two or three. SOME of these enemies are exploding
enemies, which will turn into exploders once they "die" so be wary of them
and smash them as they change. If that fails, throw a chair or enemy at them.
You can also throw them to blow up other enemies too, so be sure to try that
as well (a couple of the TORMENT challenges hinge on this, by the way).
Once you clear these few waves, one final enemy will show up with a medal
icon. Kill him off for 10 Medals, which is the big "reward" here. Yeah...
this reward isn't really worth it, but at least we cleared the chamber.
This is NOT a good place to farm tokens by the way. Save any thoughts of
farming for a NEW GAME +, specifically Execution Chamber #3!
==============================================================================
EXECUTION CHAMBER #1 END
==============================================================================
Here we have two enemies just in the foyer. Easy to take out one at a time
of course. As you fight, a third enemy will come out of the corner room. Take
it out as well. That third room has some barrels you can smash and a body you
should ping with a MEMORY SCAN in order to find a 5-Token coin.
Head back out and enter the room in the hallway for some more barrels. At
the end of the hallway is an obstruction that you can bypass by teleporting
to an empty safe. It is just like you remember as well... gruesome and very,
very cool-looking.
Once you are "reborn", do a MEMORY SCAN to find [_DAUGHTER'S DIARY 5_] by
the piano. Heh. Break the boxes here and move onto the next room. More stuff
to break here as well as a health pack if you need it. Grab the next document,
the [_TRANSCRIPT, SUBJECT CB-207_], to open the way to the second boss fight!
,---'\____________________________________________________________________/`---.
--- BOSS: ZEHN --`---./\,---'
Zehn is one of the two twins we fought during the main game. The area we
are transported to is also neat: it is the rustic village area, complete with
the angel statue in the middle.
Now, unlike most of the other boss fights, there is an area-based trick to
this fight that will make the fight MUCH EASIER. Simply put, there are THREE
machine-gun like BOLT LAUNCHERS scattered throughout the arena.
The first is facing the giant as he breaks free. Go up and use it on him as
he starts walking at you. This puts a BIG dent in his health. As he falls,
exit the launcher quickly (press CIRCLE) and go hit him. You can use an

execution on him to hurt him even more.

Now, while you are doing this normal enemies (three of them) are being
spawned in on the right. These enemies will KEEP SPAWNING IN as you kill them
off, so if you don't want to bother with them, kill all but one. Of course,
Zehn can kill them too, so they may come in anyways.
Zehn himself will try to chase you down and swing his giant club at you.
He has three attacks: a single swing, a dual swing, and a chain of swings
in a row (6 plus). He has very good recovery time as well, so if you do try
to hurt him only go for a single attack between swings. Two is pushing it, but
do-able.
The best way to hurt him after that initial attack is to lure him to and use
the other two bolt launchers in the area. One is behind the statue and easy
to hit him with. The third and final one is to the right of the first one, and
overlooks the area the enemies spawn in at. Of course, you want to use these
on Zehn. Two of these attacks with executions and a few stray hits as he is
falling down will take him out easily.
If you need it, you can often find health by the angel statue, but with this
much firepower aligned in your favor you likely won't even need that!
For beating Zehn you get [_40 MEMORY TOKENS_] and get sent back to the
manor. We also get the [_HIGHEST MAXIMUM AMMO RANK_] unlocked in the shop,
which is good, I suppose. Not as cool as a chainsaw, but they can't all be
homeruns, right?
,---'\____________________________________________________________________/`---.
--- BOSS: DEAD --`---./\,---'
We are nearly done with this first part of the guide. One more boss fight and
an optional, NEW GAME + fight are left, so stay with me!
Another flow of blood on the portrait and soon, another directive will show
up in front of us. Go ahead and grab it for [_MOBIUS DIRECTIVE 04_]. This one
is about the "Detective" and after reading it the doors upstairs will be open
for us. It is a good time to save and shop too, of course.
Head up to the door and enter. Just to the left in the library is an enemy,
so take him out. Use a Memory Scan here for a 10-Coin on the desk in the
library. There are pots here as well, and even a health pack in the shelves
if you need it. Head to the hallway now and enter the room on the left. In
here is another enemy, so take him out. This room has some cabinets in it
that you can open for 5-Coins. Whenever you see a closet or cabinet, it is
often worth checking out for these coins by the way.
Go into the next room and loot it, then back to the hallway and onto the
area with the bathroom. Here there is an enemy, so take him out and then be
sure to MEMORY SCAN the bathroom. You'll get a lovely vision by the bathtub,
but more importantly [_DAUGHTER'S DIARY 7_] is here.
Where is #6, you may ask!? I know I did! It is near. Head onward down the
hall and your daughter will show you a hidden door. Do a Memory Scan to find
it and then, for now, head PAST her to the door nearby.

Enter here and do another Memory Scan by the parents to find another
document here for [_DAUGHTER'S DIARY 6_]. There's some stuff to loot in this
room to, so do so. We can also go through the fire place for a 10 Coin, if
you wanted.
Head back to the hallway and continue to go down it. Near the picture by the
turn is another hidden 10-Token Coin, so grab it. There's an enemy past that
you can kill. Going towards the back room is another trap across the hall, so
be sure to avoid it.
Once you are in the back room you'll find a couple of enemies to kill. Take
them out and loot the place. And with that we have cleared the entire manor,
so feel free to save or shop and head back to the door we uncovered. Inside
you will find several boxes to break, another shop, and the third subject
document, [_ARCHIVE RECORD, SUBJECT CB-204_]. This unlocks the third boss
fight of course. Let's do it!
,---'\____________________________________________________________________/`---.
--- BOSS: JOSEPH --`---./\,---'
Yes, it is THAT detective!
This is the first boss fight you'll face that you may
as Joseph actually has ranged attacks at his disposal!
with his pistol (about 3 shots in a row before pausing
is OK with as long as you don't come close. Of course,
to hurt him.

have trouble with,

He can shoot at you
to reload), which he
we'll need to get close

When you DO get close, he will try to swing at you with his infamous Axe,
doing a long swipe that hurts like hell if he does connect. Thankfully, it
is easy to dodge away from and punish afterwards. In fact, one of the BEST
WAYS of dealing with Joseph is to get him in this loop: attack, avoid axe
swing, attack, etc. It doesn't always work as he may use his third move down
below, so be careful.
His third move is a "get away" move and will probably catch you by surprise
if you didn't know about it ahead of time (I know it caught me by surprise!).
When Joseph wants to get away from you, he will leap away and throw a
MOLTOV COCKTAIL behind him to cover his tracks. This does spread out and
cover a wide area, making a good retreat for Joseph and hurting you a small
amount for each second you remain in the fire. By the way, there is a cool
death-scene if you do die by flame.
With all of that said, the best way to hurt Joseph at this point is to try
and lay some traps for him and get him in his axe-swing mode to really hurt
him again and again and again. The best place by FAR to lay a trap is below
the broken-down walkway on the right side: this is where enemies DROP DOWN
when they are getting chased up above. This holds true for MULTIPLE BOSS
FIGHTS in fact, so be sure to keep it in mind. Behind cover is another good
place to put traps. You can get in several hits if you do trap him. Keep up
the traps and axe-baiting tactic to take him down, always watching out for
the enemies that accompany him but always focusing on Joseph, especially if
he is away from you and has his pistol out. You can even get an EXECUTION in
on Joseph after multiple hits, which may or may not kill him but should be
pounced upon anyways!

For beating Joseph we get [_50 MEMORY TOKENS_], unlock [_MOLTOV COCKTAILS_]
in the shop, and unlock the [_HIGHEST MOVEMENT SPEED_] in the shop as well.
And here all I wanted was his axe...
,---'\____________________________________________________________________/`---.
--- BOSS: DEAD --`---./\,---'
Once you are taken back to the manor the blood will cover the portrait and
open the way up. We are now officially done with this first part, as moving
on takes us to the Basement, which is covered in the next section.
HOWEVER!
If you are playing NEW GAME + (and if you aren't, skip to the next section
already and worry about this on your second run through!), we will get a
scene here showing another door opening up in the hallway on the second floor,
right outside the bathroom: the SEBASITAN BOSS ROOM. Well, let's cover it
below, shall we? And don't forget to load up on items before you take him on!
I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND saving especially if you have a ROCKET LAUNCHER and
shots ready for him. That way we can reload to try again instead of wasting
all of those memory tokens!
,---'\____________________________________________________________________/`---.
--- BOSS: SEBASTIAN --`---./\,---'
Ah, the OTHER Detective...
Sebastian is rough, there is no doubt about it. We fight him in the same
arena we fought Joseph and the RPG Sadist in, which means you can get him
with some traps as well (by the drop, etc).
Sebastian fights a lot like Joseph did, but is significantly more powerful
than him. For one, his "pistol" is his magnum, and it HURTS a ton when he
hits you with it (and he likely will: he is a crack-shot after all). He also
has a close-quarters attack: punching you. Yes, punching you. Even though in
the main game your punch was PATHETIC, Sebastian's punch is DEADLY. So much
so that he will knock you down each time it connects and it is rather fast.
Messed up, I know. Still, if you have good reflexes you can treat this just
like Joseph's Axe-swing: dodge it and punish. You have to be on top of your
game though, to do this.
Sebastian's last attack is to pull out his Agony Crossbow and shoot some
explosive bolt's around him. He can put several bolts in place and they will
all stay in the ground and primed until they blow up. What he likes to do is
run away from you, pull out the crossbow and shoot the bolts around him as a
protective barrier.
Killing Sebastian ranges from hard to easy, depending on how prepared you
are. For example, the Rocket Launcher can make short work of him if you get
enough hits in, or at the very least drastically reduce his health. Another
cheap-ish trick is to use dynamite on him. If you can get him once, you will
knock him down which lets you unload the rest of your dynamite stock on him
just as easily.

If you aren't using those tricks, Sebastian is also vulnerable to the

Barbed-Wire traps which can let you get several hits in (I recommend the
sword when he is trapped). He also reloads after every three shots (and by
that I mean EXACTLY three), so you can rush him there. One last trick for
you is to, if you need to, hide in the room on the right and you can lure
him to get close after some time. Dangerous but it is a last resort and can
even let you kill enemies and hope for a health pack should you need it.
For beating Sebastian, we get [_100 MEMORY TOKENS_] and the [_GOLDEN HAMMER_]
unlocked in the shop. The Golden Hammer in particular should be bought ASAP,
as it lets us gain extra coins from killing things. It combined with the third
execution chamber will help you max out everything in the shop rather quickly
and gain the related trophies. It replaces your hammer, but adds the token
effect without taking away the upgrades you already have. It also adds a crown
to the top of the hammer... heh.
(-NOTE-) For beating Sebastian, you will get the "You Had This Coming" Silver
Trophy. Congrats!
,---'\____________________________________________________________________/`---.
--- BOSS: DEAD --`---./\,---'
If you are reading this, we truly ARE DONE with everything in the MANOR AREA
and we should proceed to the next section!

(-NOTE-) You will get the "Home Invasion" Bronze Trophy for clearing the
first and second floors of the Manor.

PART 2: THE BASEMENT

``-.____________________________________________________[BK302]___.-

On to the basement! With the family portrait opened up we can proceed forward
once more, so go ahead and follow the hallway to your daughter and enter the
light you find. Keep going after that to run into [_DAUGHTER'S DIARY 8_] just
lying on the floor.
Try to continue on and you'll
it and break the boxes here if

need it and jump down into the tunnel. Once we
in "The Basement" proper.

The first thing of note here is the [_MOBIUS DIRECTIVE 05_] on the wall, so
pick it up and of course a door will open for us afterwards. BEFORE you go
into the new door that was opened, let's visit the nearby save/shop area.

Not just to save and shop of course, but to get the [_DAUGHTER'S DIARY 9_] on
the counter in here.
Head to the door you opened now and enter. There are actually NO enemies in
this area, but there is a collectable nearby! Take the first door on the
left and do a MEMORY SCAN and look to the dead-end corner to the left. You
will uncover some bodies with [_DAUGHTER'S DIARY 10_] on it. Break all the
boxes nearby for tokens and continue on.
You'll come to an area with heated walls on either side. Not only that, but
they are moving! The first moving was stops halfway so stick to the left. The
second one goes all the way so get by it once it is done. The third one comes
from both sides, but you can run by once it is done too. Note that the barrels
by the door have a 10-Token Coin on them, if you want to risk it.
The next room should also be familiar. Break the boxes to the right and hit
the switch you find to raise the blades. Head past them and right (there is a
part on the barrels here) to see more big rotating blades in front of you to
the left. There is a switch on the wall to the right we need to get to and hit
to stop these rotating blades. Do so and continue past them, stopping at the
vertical blades for [_DAUGHTER'S DIARY 11_].
Continue on to the room and open the boss door. This is it, our next boss
fight is here! Grab the [_TRANSCRIPT, SUBJECT CB-205_] and enter the boss
arena when you are ready.
,---'\____________________________________________________________________/`---.
--- BOSS: RPG SADIST --`---./\,---'
Now, THIS is going to be an explosive battle! Heh... I'll let myself out...
What, you still want help? OK, OK, the first thing you'll notice is that
this arena is the same as the one you fought Joseph in. This means that the
drop-off on the right is a tactical point just like before.
The RPG really only has one attack of note: his Rocket Launcher attack.
This thing hurts like hell of course, but does have a predictable launch
pattern. You see, it doesn't fire a SINGLE rocket, but THREE. They fire in
a spread pattern and staggered slightly: one straight at you, one to the
right, and the last one to the left. Knowing this, you can literally dodge
the first shot to the left and get between it and the third shot and be
entirely OK. Yes, you can walk right between these shots if you have enough
room between you and the RPG Sadist (just make sure they don't detonate in a
wall right behind you or something).
Now, after each barrage the Sadist stops to reload. This is your cue to
attack relentlessly. He will undoubtedly try to run away once you close in
though. Also beware that he is not afraid to fire at close-distance either!
And once again, there are regular enemies spawning in throughout the fight,
so always watch your back! If you need to heal, there is a health pack on
the table upstairs you can use.
Once you beat him down to 33% of his health or so, the RPG Sadist will give
up the RPG and pull out his Chainsaw, trying to attack you like a normal
Sadist enemy. Do your regular bait and attack at this point and the fight is
in the bag!

For defeating the RPG Sadist, you will get [_80 MEMORY TOKENS_] as well as
access to the all-powerful [_ROCKET LAUNCHER_] in the Shop. This thing is
expensive but it works like a charm and will be our key to obtaining the
"I've Got Box of Steel" trophy in our third run-through of the game.
,---'\____________________________________________________________________/`---.
--- BOSS: DEAD --`---./\,---'
We will be transported back to the basement as usual. Go save and shop if you
wish. By now the 2nd Execution Chamber should be open on the wall nearby (it
may have been ready before now, I'm not 100% sure, but it is definitely ready
now so let's hit it!).
As usual, this Execution Chamber is 100% optional. It gives you more Memory
Tokens and that's about it. Still, it is quite fun!
==============================================================================
EXECUTION CHAMBER #2
==============================================================================
This chamber is funner than #2, and has more enemies as well. The reason it
is more enjoyable is they addition of the spiked box in the middle of the
room (we are in the same area as the first chamber) and the rotating blades
in the back. Both are great for throwing enemies into.
The chamber is just like the last one: waves of enemies will come at you.
The biggest addition here is the introduction of BIG enemies. These much
fatter foes will charge at you and try to ram you. Easy to side-step though.
They also like to try and grab you when you get close. Interestingly enough,
their grab DOES NOT HURT. I've even seen some videos online of people doing
no damage runs and getting grabbed. What it does do though is gives any other
enemies nearby a chance to hurt you while you are helpless. To get out of
their grab, just attack over and over until they let go.
Other than that, this is really more of the same. Slightly bigger waves
than the last chamber (four plus this time). Just focus them down one at a
time like normal and beware of any exploding enemies and you'll be OK. For
your efforts you will get 30 Memory Tokens at the end.
This is NOT a good place to farm tokens by the way. Save any thoughts of
farming for a NEW GAME +, specifically Execution Chamber #3!
==============================================================================
EXECUTION CHAMBER #2 END
==============================================================================
OK, now that we're done with that let's look around for the next Mobius File
like the game wanted us to do after defeating the RP Sadist. It is on the wall
divider nearby, [_MOBIUS DIRECTIVE 06_].
Of course the nearby door on the right will open now and we are on our way
to the next boss. Head through the door and go do a Memory Scan in front of
the table in front of you for [_DAUGHTER'S DIARY 12_].

Continue on and you'll have to teleport to a new safe to continue. This next
room is rather weird. You'll see an invisible enemy lock the door. We have to
kill him to open it, but he'll run around the center area. It is a pain, but
you can kill him by running the opposite way or even running after him and
doing a lunge attack. Once you do kill him, the door unlocks. Also note that
there is a 10-Token Coin on the corpse here (after a memory scan) and a health
kit if you need it.
Head through the door you opened and pick up the document from the wall,
[_TRANSCRIPT, SUBJECT CB-210_], which unlocks the area to the next boss!
,---'\____________________________________________________________________/`---.
--- BOSS: AMALGAM ALPHA --`---./\,---'
This is a fun fight. You may recall Amalgam Alpha and think this is going
to be a rough fight, but you'd be wrong. It is actually one of the easier
fights in the game. Also, note the note below as there is a TORMENT you can
only get here.
This is because we
of cars. These cars
them explode in his
which lets you hurt

are fighting in a parking garage, and the garage is FLL

can be hit at the monster with a three-chain hit to make
face, causing major damage and making the monster slump,
him for even more.

You can also wait behind a car (5-8 feet away) and the monster will hit the
car at YOU. However, you can hit it back with the Triangle button and make
it explode on him, which is even easier than hitting it at him.
That is the key to winning this fight: make a car explode on him and hurt
him afterward. While you are doing this of course, common enemies will spawn
in and try to catch you off-guard so be aware of them.
(-NOTE-) This boss fight / area is where you want to hit a car into an an
enemy to complete TORMENT 12. Be sure to do this before beating the
boss proper. If you don't, I recommend reloading and trying again,
or just remembering it if you plan on going through the game again
on New Game + anyways.
For defeating Amalgam Alpha, you will get [_100 MEMORY TOKENS_] and once
you warp back you will unlock the [_HIGHEST WEAPON DAMAGE_] ranks available
in the shop. Not bad, huh?
,---'\____________________________________________________________________/`---.
--- BOSS: DEAD --`---./\,---'
Defeating this boss unlocks the way out of here. Go save and shop if you
wish and then go after your daughter. You'll run into a door with a document
on it, [_MOBIUS DIRECTIVE 07_].
Open up the doorway to a familiar hallway. Beyond the next door however is
a weird set of rooms. Patient rooms. Check each of them out and if you don't
see anyone, try a memory scan. Some very weird stuff here.

At the corner a scene will take place. Keep checking out the doors here if
you wish but you'll have to go where your daughter was eventually to pick up
the [_DAUGHTER'S DIARY 13_]. Enter the door.
This room is a unique room, but we'll cover that in a bit. For now, look at
the desk in the back to find [_DAUGHTER'S DIARY 14_], the last one of the set.
(-NOTE-) For finding all of the diaries, you will get the "Nosy Parent" Bronze
Trophy. Congrats!
OK, onto this room. It is a save point and shop, one of our last chances to
do either. You will also notice the wall here has an Execution Chamber, but it
is locked on us. In truth, this chamber is for NEW GAME + only, so don't bother
with it if this is your first time through. Not that you could. Still, for the
sake of completeness, I have it listed below. Just skip it if this is your
first time here...
==============================================================================
EXECUTION CHAMBER #3 (NEW GAME +)
==============================================================================
Let me put up a disclaimer here: THIS CHAMBER IS HARD. This is the single
hardest part of the game, right here. It is also the BEST PLACE TO GRIND OUT
TOKENS for sure. You can max out the shop in 2-3 visits of this place for
sure. This Chamber is also LONG, so be ready.
We are in the parking garage for this fight and there are plenty of eyes
here to spawn enemies. These enemies are the same ones you have been fighting
the entire time, so nothing new there. Note however that they show up in even
greater numbers. Six + at times.
What makes this chamber so much different is that it is a 'BOSS RUSH' of
sorts. We will face waves of enemies until bosses come out. This also makes
it an endurance challenge. The bosses in order are:
1.
2.
3.
4.

Sadist
Zehn
Dual Sadist (Rocket Launcher / Chainsaw)
Joesph / Sebastian

That last entry there SHOULD make your eyes widen. Yes, you fight both of
them. At the SAME TIME. It is the reason this is so hard. For that reason
you should do this chamber until you mas out EVERYTHING in the shop, and
then you will be ready to BEAT it. The first three bosses are NOTHING in
comparison to the detective combo at the end.
There's a couple things you can do to help yourself. First of all, note that
the fatter enemies have a greater chance to drop health-packs. You can leave
a Sadist alive from the dual-combo and try to make health packs drop, which
will help with the detectives.
The smartest thing to do though is to ONLY USE THE HAMMER until you get to
the detectives. Seriously, save ALL of your heavy ammo (10 Rocket Launcher
shots, max dynamite, etc.) for the detectives. So get REALLY good at getting

to them with just your hammer. Not too hard to do with practice. Remember,
the bosses will destroy the regular enemies FOR you if they are close enough.
Once you can get to the last Sadist, get healthy and do your best to set up
some Barbed-Wire Traps around the elevators, as that is where the detectives
will come out of.
This forces them to shoot at them at the beginning, but once you kill the
last Sadist, you need to get behind a car (looking north at the elevators)
and get your Rocket Launcher out. We are going to use all 10 shots right at
the beginning. Focus on SEBASTIAN first and foremost and you should be able
to kill him rather easily. It IS 10 ROCKETS after all. Fire them as soon as
you can, taking a split second to re-aim as needed.
This should kill off Sebastian, no question, leaving the weaker Joseph for
us to fight. From here try to get some dynamite on him. You can use all of
your dynamite to get him in a cycle of being knocked down over and over. If
you can't do that, try to throw Moltov's or trap him in Barbed Wire. Don't
forget to use your sword on him.
This fight will take you multiple tries regardless. It took me four tries
all told, but one of those was glitched (Joseph fell into the floor at one
point for me). Still, keep at it and you'll fell them both. This is needed
for TORMENT #20 and will likely give you the [_UNLIMITED AMMO_] item at the
shop (assuming you did the rest of the torment objectives), which as you may
guess makes the "take no damage" trophy VERY easy. Good luck!
==============================================================================
EXECUTION CHAMBER #3 END
==============================================================================
OK, now that that big section is done with, let's continue. Save and shop
like normal and continue on. You will have to teleport to a new safe to
continue.
The way will be blocked, but it opens soon. Continue on this horrible
hallway until a scene shows. A very interesting scene, showing you how the
last boss is formed. Wow...
Continue through the door and pick up the document on the wall, the
[_MOBIUS DIRECTIVE 08_], to find the very last boss fight room of the game.
It is a good read, too. Go on into the last boss room once you are ready.
,---'\____________________________________________________________________/`---.
--- BOSS: DARK KEEPER --`---./\,---'
This fight is a rather long one, so get ready. It is in the room where we
first fought the Keeper in the main game, which is neat. Note your daughter
laying down nearby when you spawn in.
As you approach the spike, you get a quick scene showing what they do to the
Keeper. GOOD TO NOTE! We can make good use of the three spike traps in this
area and indeed, on our first run through the game this is really the ONLY

way to win in this fight. Therefore, our objective throughout the fight is to
lure the Dark Keeper beneath these traps and hit the switch on him. One more
thing to note: there is a health pack on the table where you found the switch
in the main game.
Continue to the back area to see the Dark Keeper rise up. Note that YOU DO
NOT WANT TO FIGHT HIM TOE-TO-TOE. He has a sword several times stronger than
your hammer and will kill you quickly. Stick with the "crush him" plan.
With that said, you can sometimes trap him under the spikes with a barbed
wire trap for an easy crush, but more likely you will have to lure him in
slowly, then fight him on the edge of the trap to keep him there. Being too
far away from him will make him do a dashing attack, but fighting near the
edge of trap after you spring it keeps him under it. Your hammer doesn't
beat his sword, but does hold him back.
After you crush him once, you need to do it once more. Really nothing has
changed here, but note how crushing him affects you. Very cool! Get him under
the spikes and crush him once more. Two crushes down, one to go!
This last version of the Dark Keeper is a bit different. When he comes back
to life, he will twirl his sword and plunge it into the ground, covering the
place in blood. He will then control the "Ruvik Clone" hands and send them
after you.
This part is a pain. You need to run away as getting hit by these claws is,
as always, a one-hit KO. You also need to do MEMORY SCANS in order to find
him and, once you find him, quickly hit him once to break the spell and be
safe from the claws.
Once the spell is broken, crush him one more time like you are used to.
This is the third and final time, Be careful and quick and as always it is
better to be safe than sorry. Patience ultimately wins here.
Once you kill him off, enjoy the scenes you see as well as one last document
to wrap things up, the [_FINAL RESEARCH REPORT_].
,---'\____________________________________________________________________/`---.
--- BOSS: DEAD --`---./\,---'
So while the game has indeed come to an end, we
that last boss fight. For one, [_NEW GAME +_] is
[_THE SWORD_] available to buy in the shop. This
Battle Room and Execution Chamber #3 for further

do get some perks from

now unlocked. We also get

is because I didn't really feel like playing through the whole game again just
to find these values. Lazy? Yes, very much so. But I don't want to put off
putting out this guide just to play through again, so I'll have to get around
to adding them in later. Or, if you know them, please email me and I'll throw

ARCHIVE TRANSCRIPTS
>==O
``-.____________________________________________________[BK400]___.-

As usual, I like to record a game's transcripts, so I wrote them all down

and put them here. Fun to read.
(-NOTE-) This section is full of spoilers, so I'd recommend beating the game
first before going and reading these.

DAUGHTER'S DIARY

o Daughter's Diary 1
Dad,
The doctor said you were going to come to help
me. Are you ever going to get here? there are
monsters all over the place. I'm going crazy.
o Daughter's Diary 2
Are all these other people alive? Are they dead?
o Daughter's Diary 3
I saw some guy killing the monsters! I think I
should go meet him and see what happens. He
might know Dad. But just in case he's some
kind of creep I'm going to leave my letters and
stuff here.
o Daughter's Diary 4
That guy said he was a killer and his job was to
kill monsters. He said that he was collecting
these weird tokens and made me help look for
them, but when I tried to put one in my pocket
he started screaming and got this scary look in
his eyes. He might kill me if I try to run away.
He might kill me if I don't.

o Daughter's Diary 5
Is everyone going to turn into a monster?
There was a tall guy I walked around with for a
while because he was lost. he said he couldn't
remember where he came from.
He was always talking to his brother even
though you couldn't see him. He started to
freak me out so I got out of there. Then he
started chasing me and, when I looked back, he
was turning into one of those things.
Is that going to happen to me too? This place is
so weird. Everything from before I came here
seems like a long time ago.
o Daughter's Diary 6
How did I get here, anyway? I try to think, but I
can't remember. I think it was therapy, but Dad
and I fought about it? He said that Ruben guy
might be able to help me, but he didn't trust
him. But I had to try...
o Daughter's Diary 7
I'm all right. The guy with glasses didn't look
like anyone I should be talking to. I can still
hear his laughter in my head. I don't think he
knew who he was anymore. I think the trick to
keeping my mind together is to think about all
the stuff I'm going to do when I get out of here.
o Daughter's Diary 8
What was my doctor doing here? I saw him
walking down the hall.
o Daughter's Diary 9
I know I must have seen all kinds of scary
things, but I can't remember, so I don't feel
scared at all.
o Daughter's Diary 10
I don't know what to do. I keep forgetting Mom
and Dad's names. It's happened like five times
now... I can't believe I'd forgot something like
that. I should tattoo them on my arm or
something.

o Daughter's Diary 11
Hey doctor, do you remember my dad?
o Daughter's Diary 12
The shaking won't stop. I can't remember Dad's
face. I'm slowly forgetting who I am. There are
all these monsters around. It's like I don't even
care if they get me anymore. But I at least want
to see Dad one more time.
o Daughter's Diary 13
Where did the doctor go? Everyone's gone.
o Daughter's Diary 14
Something is getting closer. I can feel it. I
guess this is it. Sorry, Dad. I know you tried.

MOBIUS FILES

o Mobius Directive 01
Mobius Directive 01:
Establish synchornization
Final test subject has been successfully
inserted and attunement with the safe-headed
creature has been verified.
You should be able to use our carrier wave to
scan for residual traces of strong emotions.
New directive files will be transmitted for
placement into the environment.
o Mobius Directive 02
Mobius Directive 02:
Eliminate test subject CB-212 ("Murderer")
This experiment will explore a method of
extraction from within the STEM environment.
Your objective is to rescue your daughter, who
is already inside STEM, by eliminating all other
connected test subjects.
Subject CB-212, a convicted murderer, has
been completely dominated by STEM. His
influence grows and he is disrupting your

daughter's memory patterns. Kill CB-212 and

assess the girl's condition.
==SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION==
STEM erodes a subject's memories
incrementally, gradually altering their
personality and their physical appearance until
finally the subject is completely dominated by
STEM.
Based upon the data from the Ruvik incident it
can be inferred that the Ruvik entity was able to
leave the STEM system by entering the physical
body of the test subject Leslie Withers. This
first trial will explore STEM's mental
degradation effects of more standard methods
of egress.
Transmissions from outside as well as
tracking within STEM are subject to error
and time delays. Use your own judgement in
handling any encounters.
Connection Status: Seven Subjects
- Adolescent Female
- Detective
- Twin Sibling
- Paroled Murderer
- Psychiatric Patient
- Ex-soldier
- Father of Adolescent Female

"Nobody said it was going to be like this."
Time Index 01:
These motherfuckers barely put up a fight.
Time Index 02:
That old broad who put me in here might have
shown me a better time.
Time Index 03:
Who the fuck put a kid in here? Thought this
place was full of zombie crackheads.
Time Index 04:
Your dad's who? Who the fuck is that? Why
should I care?
Time Index 05:
Knew I couldn't trust that little shit. Tryin' to
pocket my loot...
Time Index 06:
What the fuck? I can hear someone whispering

at me.
Time Index 07:
You trying to get inside my head? You think
you know me?!
Time Index 08:
Don't be giving me orders!
Time Index 09:
Where'd that sweet little girl go? Gotta be
around here somewhere.
Time Index 10:
Now I see what you were after. Tricking me in
to coming in here...
Time Index 11:
You think I'm your lab rat? You think you got
me?! I will kill every last one of you.
o Mobius Directive 03
Mobius Directive 03:
Eliminate test subject CB-207 ("Twin")
The rate of your daughter's memory loss has
been greatly reduced with the death of CB-212.
It can be surmised that his influence on others
has been negated.
Data indicates that your daughter is on the
move, possibly with subject CB-207. Eliminate
him. Data will be recorded and progress and
stability of STEM domination analyzed.
==SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION==
Dominated subjects are used by STEM to emit
at wavelengths which deteriorate the memory
and willpower of others in the area. This
ancillary function serves to accelerate STEM's
domination function.
Testing and analysis needed to determine effect
of removing a relay point upon the stable
extraction of a subject in a target memory state.

"Lost children"
Time Index 01:
My brother! It is so good to see you again.
Losing you was unbearable.
Time Index 02:

I came here to get away, to find solace.

Somehow I knew you'd be here.
Time Index 03:
Yes, I know. We agreed to help. But now I
feel... conflicted.
Time Index 04:
No, I am changing. Just look at my body. Don't
you see it? Why aren't you changing...?
Time Index 05:
You know, I feel like it's not just my body... Our
mind is changing...
Time Index 06:
Who do you think this girl is? Surely she
couldn't be working for "them." That's
inconceivable.
Time Index 07:
The girl ran away. I think we-- I scared her.
Time Index 08:
That thing at the core of me that is not me
continues to grow. You feel it too?
Time Index 09:
The hooded man watches me. Is he Death?
Time Index 10:
We can play. Like when we were kids.
o Mobius Directive 04
Mobius Directive 04:
Eliminate test subject CB-204 ("Detective")
Your daughter's memory degredation has
slowed, but STEM domination of the remaining
subjects has progressed steadily.
The only subject confirmed to still be in the
house is CB-204, the detective. Access the
corresponding area and kill the detective.
==SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION==
At this time we are unable to say definitively
that the death of a test subject and the
subsequent removal of their influence leads
directly to memory preservation.
The possibility exists that an unknown element
is affecting the integrity of subject memories.
Must observe the girl's movement patterns and
be watchful for unanticipated phenomena.

o Archive Record, Subject CB-204

Archive Record, Subject CB-204 ("Detective")
Phase 5
At Phase 4, our detective subject exhibited
repeated loss of self-awareness as well as
involuntary suicidal tendencies. We count at
least four attempts. Subject also showed
repeated intermittent physical deformation.
Subject's initial recovery has reversed course
and at present he has lost self-awareness.
Inflow of consciousness from other subjects is
a component of STEM domination. Subject's
memories appear to be disorganized and
linguistic ability minimal.
o Mobius Directive 05
Mobius Directive 05:
Eliminate test subject CB-205 ("Soldier")
As before, with the death of CB-204 the rate of
your daughter's memory loss has slowed.
However, all other subjects show more
advanced decay than previously recorded. More
investigation is necessary.
Coinciding with this event, a pathway at the
heart of the mansion has opened. We have also
located subject CB-205, an ex-soldier.
CB-205 must be eliminated.
Eradication of remaining test subjects will leave
the girl the only one to retain any memories.
However, there is a strong probability that
those memories will not be intact.
The approximate locations of remaining
subjects can now be determined, but
deterioration of the memories of the other
subjects suggests that full STEM domination of
other subjects may have occurred.
==SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION==
The appearance of this new location within the
manor house suggests a link with the Ruvik
entity, and it is believed to be a residual effect
of his presence.
It is unknown if any of his consciousness is
retained within STEM. However, the girl is now
on a linear path directly out of our observable
area. Influence of the Ruvik entity would

account for this change.

Cross-reference previous Ruvik case files as
well as goals of test subjects discernable from
their individual transcripts.

"This place is like a dream come true."
Time Index 01:
I never seem to get tired here. I can fight
forever.
Time Index 02:
These grunts are stupid but they don't quit. If I
could get 'em organized...
Time Index 03:
Gettin' a little sick of these dead-heads. I keep
blowin' 'em away but more of 'em come.
Time Index 04:
Somebody somewhere is watching me. You
won't get the drop on me.
Time Index 05:

Time Index 06:
Bring it on, bitches! I got ammo out the ass!
Time Index 07:
It's like there's an icicle freezing my brain.
They're tryin' to take my thoughts...
Time Index 08:
I ain't one of you! No one's ever gonna take me
down! Hooah!
o Mobius Directive 06
Mobius Directive 06:
Eliminate test subject CB-210 ("Psychiatric patient")
The influence of the soldier subject has been
negated. We have also determined the location
of your daughter as well as your next target.
STEM's domination of your daughter
dramatically accelerated. The moment she is
completely subdued, rescue will no longer be
possible.
You must find and eliminate the psychiatric
patient CB-210.

==SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION==
It is unclear if the sudden acceleration in STEM
domination is caused by CB-210 or some
artifact of the Ruvik entity. There has been
circumstantial evidence of his presence, but
noting has been verified.
Will examine data from the Ruvik incident to
support the supposition that reducing the
number of test subjects will bring one closer to
the core.
Erosion of the girl's memory cannot be avoided,
but we are formulating a new hypothesis to
account for recent developments.
Transmission is more difficult in the basements
below the mansion. There are two targets left,
but obtaining accurate readings is difficult.
o Transcript, Subject CB-210

Time Index 02:

Time Index 03:
You thought it and I heard it. We grabbed the
thoughts. New bones and muscle.
Time Index 04:
All the different ones, all the same thoughts,
pulsing, like brain radar bouncing back.
Time Index 05:
They're of me, they're in me. But he is not.
Time Index 06:

It binds my dreams.
Time Index 07:

Time Index 08:
As it all becomes one in form and function. We
join. We are the new being, hideous and
beautiful.
Time Index 09:

I think he's taken my soul. I probably wasn't

using it anyway. I am his disguise.
o Mobius Directive 07
Mobius Directive 07:
The Next Phase
The anomalous reading of the Ruvik entity
have ceased. Despite this, your daughter's
progress toward STEM domination has not
stopped.
Ruling out Ruvik as a possible cause, it is
reasonable to believe that the only other test
subject within STEM is the cause.
The last remaining test subject is you. Have you
been in direct contact with your daughter?
==SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION==
Transmitting files on your daughter, but your
location within the manor house basement
cannot be determined.
o Mobius Directive 08
Mobius Directive 08:
Self-destruction
Based upon recent evidence, this will be the
final test.
A single subject has been stealing the influence
of each subject as they die. It is unclear if this
is some aspect of their physical form within
STEM or paternal relationship with the girl.
That subject, the one you must defeat, is you.
If you are to return even part of your daughter's
memories and free her from STEM, you must
sever your own connection.
o Final Research Report
Final Research Report:
Successful release from STEM
Per mission directives, the father subject has
slain all test subjects except for the girl,
thereby restoring her memory.
The girl became the only living being inside
STEM, and this allowed her to regain
consciousness and leave STEM.

In the Ruvik case, the prevailing theory is that

he left STEM by entering the body of subject
Withers. The results of this experiment are a
great step forward in understanding the
dynamics of STEM.
Moving forward, we recommend that the girl be
placed under our control so that the integrity of
her memory can be determined.
The father's death within STEM was confirmed,
though corresponding brain death of the
subject has not occurred.
This concludes trial 82347-BX. A full report
will be forthcoming.

TORMENTS

(-NOTE-) These TORMENTS are basically challenges for you to do in the game.
I'm just listing them here for the sake of listing them, but since
I am at it I will also do a quick "How To" below each one.
One thing the game doesn't tell you, but if you get all of these
TORMENTS accomplished, you will get the [_INFINITE AMMO_] item
available in the shop. You won't get this until a NEW GAME + though,
just due to how the torments are set up.
(-NOTE-) You KNOW you accomplished a TORMENT when you see a notification of
if on the bottom screen.
o TORMENT 1: Execute a standing enemy.
~ Quick Tip: This one is one of the most basic, no problem here.
o TORMENT 2: Execute a prone enemy.
~ Quick Tip: This one is one of the most basic, no problem here.
o TORMENT 3: Execute an enemy caught by a Barbed Wire Trap.
~ Quick Tip: You will likely get this naturally, bit if not one easy
way is to hurt an enemy until the execute command appears,
let it recover, and lure it into a trap. Instant set-up!
o TORMENT 4: Impale an enemy on wall spikes.
~ Quick Tip: Easy to do in one of the first two execution chambers. Just
grab an enemy and throw it into the wall spikes.

o TORMENT 5: Dismember an enemy with the Chainsaw.

~ Quick Tip: You can't do this until you buy the chainsaw, but it is easy
once you have it as every attack dismembers normal enemies.
o TORMENT 6: Blow up an enemy with a stick of Dynamite.
~ Quick Tip: Also very easy. Hard not to do if you try...
o TORMENT 7: Blow up an enemy caught by a Barbed Wire Trap with Dynamite.
~ Quick Tip: Hah! A bit harder, but doable. Dot his with one enemy left
if you can. Just switch to the dynamite right away and throw!
o TORMENT 8: Incinerate an enemy with a Moltov Cocktail.
~ Quick Tip: We must again wait until we can get the Moltov Cocktails, but
once you beat Joseph and buy them you can get this easy.
o TORMENT 9: Incinerate an enemy caught by a Barbed Wire Trap with a Moltov
Cocktail.
~ Quick Tip: Just like the dynamite / barbed wire trap torment above.
Best to do with just a single enemy left.
o TORMENT 10: Blow up an enemy with the Rocket Launcher.
~ Quick Tip: You are bound to get this once you start using the Rocket
Launcher. Hard not to, really.
o TORMENT 11: Slay an enemy with a turret.
~ Quick Tip: This is best done in the ZEHN boss stage. Use one of the
three turrets in the area to kill some of the infinitely
re-spawning enemies for this one.
o TORMENT 12: Blow up an enemy with a flung car.
~ Quick Tip: You must do this in the AMALGAM ALPHA boss stage. Get an
enemy between you and a car and the boss will fling it at
you. Hit it back to blow the enemy up.
NOTE: If you fail to do this, RESTART the boss stage as there
are only so many cars and we want to get this TORMENT
done!
o TORMENT 13: Kill an enemy with a rotating blade trap.
~ Quick Tip: You can find one of these in the second execution chamber.
Throw an enemy into one of these to get this.

o TORMENT 14: Blow up an enemy with an exploding Haunted.

~ Quick Tip: Exploding Haunteds have the bubbles on them. You can throw
them from time to time. Throw one at an enemy (or better yet
a group of enemies) for this torment.
o TORMENT 15: Blow up more than one enemy with an exploding Haunted.
~ Quick Tip: This is the same as #14, just with more than one kill.
o TORMENT 16: Dismember an enemy with the Sword.
~ Quick Tip: This will be on NEW GAME + as you get the sword once you
beat the game. After buying it you will undoubtedly get
this torment.
o TORMENT 17: Execute an enemy with the Sword.
~ Quick Tip: Also easy once you get the Sword, just now it is an execution.
o TORMENT 18: Clear the hidden Final Execution Chamber.
~ Quick Tip: Now THIS is rough. This final chamber is found just before the
final boss, but ONLY ON NEW GAME +. Refer to the guide up
above for a strategy on clearing this chamber, the single
hardest point of the game (in my opinion!).

How to Obtain | This one is neat. It references killing off Sebastian, and

|
| The first way to do this is to beat the first MANOR level

| SEBASTIAN BOSS ROOM. You will fight him solo in this room,
| just like you did with Joseph. Well, solo compared to the

| above as well.
|
| The second way to do this is the third un-lockable (secret)
| Execution Chamber. This is also on NEW GAME +, but is right
| before the final boss. You can do the first way first due
| to this, and note that it is also MUCH EASIER than this
| second way. However, this second way also accomplishes
| TORMENT #18, which you need for other trophies as well, so
| you COULD skip the first way if you are dedicated to getting
| 100% on this trophy list. Just a heads up. This way is HARD
| though, so see the guide for help!
