Nothing sucks more than being the new kid. My name is Violet Meyer and I’m sixteen years old. At my old school I was the ou tcast for one reason and one reason only, my eyes. I have these really pretty purple eyes. Kids think I’m weird because of it, so, I’m pretty much a loner. But I want this school to be different. To make this happen I will need to hind my eyes as much as possible. I was wearing a black hoodie with the hood over my head. My black wavy hair was covering most of my face. Anyway I walked into the office and walked up to the sectary. “Hello, I’m Violet Meyer” I said polity. Without looking up she took out a folder with all my information. “Here you go sweetly” she said smiling at me, I smiled back. “Hi Mrs. Lock,” said a girl walking in the office, she smiled at me. “You must b e Violet Meyer, nice to meet you. I’m Sam Goodman, I’ll be showing you around,” she held out her hand for me to shake it. I shook her hand. “Nice to meet you,” I smiled back at her. “Let’s go, we have English now” Sam and I walked in the hallway together. She did most of the talking to just li stened. Once we got to the class, Sam walked up to the teacher. “Mr. Hill, we have a new student, Violet Meyer” “Nice to meet to you, Violet, I’m Mr. Hill and welcome to advanced English,” “Thanks” “How about you sit next to Sam and please take off the hood, school rule” I sighed, “Okay” I made my way over to Sam and sat down. I slowly took off the hood and ran my fi ngers threw my hair, so I wasn’t in my face. A girl turned around to say something, but once she saw my eyes she turned back around. I’m guessing she told her friend to look at me, because she did. Her eye s got wide and turned back around. I sighed. This is going to be a long school year. “Okay class, we have a new student, Violet Meyer” Mr. Hill said. I looked up at him and he saw my eyes, he looked shocked. “Okay, let’s start class shall we” he said as he walked to the blackboard. Sam looked at me with confusion written all over her face. I looked at her and s he stared to me wide eyed. At the end of class everyone ran out of the class room. No surprise. I sighed as I go up and exited the classroom. As I was looking for my next class I bumped into what I thought was a wall. My b ooks spilled onto the floor. “Sorry” I said looking up at the person I bumped into, he was really attractive. He looked down at me and stared at my eyes. His friends behind him stared at me in shock too. “Watch it next time” he finally said. “Yo Matt are you coming” someone called for him. “Yeah,” he said walking by me and his friends followed. I bent down to pick up my books. “Sorry about Matt, some seniors can be jerks, and others like me, Josh, can be v ery helpful” he said bending down to help me. “You haven’t seen me” I whispered. “Yes, I have” “Not my face” “What’s so bad about your face?” “My eyes” “Let me see” he said putting his hand under my chin. I looked at the floor as he lifted my head up. “Let me see” he repeated. As he said that I looked up and looked into his stunni
ng hazel eyes. He stared at me wide eyed. “Yeah,” I said standing up. I looked at my secdual and went to my next class. Josh’s Point Of View I was still on the floor staring at where the purple eyed girl was. Not only were her eyes different but they were beautiful. They were like a sea o f purple that I would love to get lost in. Who ever she was I wanted to get to know her, she was beautiful. As I thought of her I made my way to my next class, which I was late for. “You’re late” Mrs. Green said as I walked in. “I know, sorry” I said sitting down with Matt and the rest of the boys. “Making out with Cloey, again??” John asked. I laughed, “Not today, just didn’t feel like coming” “Sure” “Josh did you see the hot purple eyed girl,” Matt asked. “Yeah” “Dude, if she had normal eyes, I would so date her,” Mike said. The rest of the guys agreed. She was all I could think about. Violet’s Point of View The rest of the morning was like English class; once again I was the freaky weir d girl no one wanted to talk to. I walked into the lunch room after everyone else. As soon as I walked in the room everyone was quite. I quickly found a table and sat down. Once everyone went back to their conversations, I went to get my lunch. I sat at the empty table by myself and listened to my Ipod, so I wasn’t totally board. After my lunch I left the lunch room and went to the library. On my way there someone tapped my shoulder, which shocked me. A lot. I turned around to see the boy form this morning, the one who helped me pick up my books. I think his name was Josh. “Hello?” I said pausing the song I was listening to. “Hey” “Can I help you?” “Um, yeah, what’s your name, I told you mine but you never said yours” That was a first, a cute boy talking to me. What’s next? Blue people? “Violet” I said holding out my hand. “Josh” he smiled as he shock my hand. We stood there staring at each other; he never broke eye contact with me. “You have really pretty eyes” he said. Wow, I think I saw a blue person. “Th-thanks” I stuttered. “Where are you going?” “Library” “Cool, I’ll go with you” We walked down to the hallway together in silence. It was an awkward silence, bu t I didn’t mind. At the library we sat at the same table in the back of the library. I found a good book while Josh did his homework. I was really was into my book, I was about to find out what happen, when Josh sa id, “Tell me about your self” I looked at him, surprised. “Um, sure” I sighed and closed my book. I looked at him, he looked at Josh and he looked in terested into my life’s story. I told him everything. It was nice to have someone to talk to, someone to share things with. When the b
ell rang, meaning lunch was over; he walked with me to my next class, to hear th e rest of my story. I finished my life’s story once we got to my class. “Bye, thanks for the story” “No problem, bye” I walked into the classroom and sat in the back. There was a pop quiz, which the teacher said I didn’t have to take. So I finishe d my book, but my mind wondered on Josh. Josh’s Point Of View I didn’t want to leave Violet, she was so interesting. I loved talking to her, e ven though; she was doing most of the talking. I decided I was going to befriend. She was all I could think about, for some odd reason. “Joshy,” my thoughts were interrupted by my girlfriend, Cloey. “Where were you?” she asked wrapping her arms around me. “Sorry, I was at the library, but I’m here now” I said leaning down to kiss her. She met me half way. We kissed until the late bell rang. We ran to math class and snuck in quietly. “Making out, again?” Mick asked playfully. “Shut up” I said taking out my notebook. Violet’s Point Of View Like all my other classes I was the last one to leave. “Hey Violet” I turned around slowly to see who was calling me. It was Josh, jogging up to me. “Hey” I said back. “How was class?” “It was okay, I guess. You?” “Same” We walked together in silence. “Why are you doing this?” “What” he said as he stopped walking. “Why are you talking to me? Do you feel bad for me? I don’t need your pity” He looked shocked. “I’m not taking pity on you. I just think you’re a really coo l person” I smiled. “Really?” He smiled. “Yeah” “Okay” I said “So, am I your favorite person again?” “Sure” I smiled at him as we continued to walk in the hall way. We talked about random things until we got to my next class. I was a little sad when we said our good-byes. Josh was a really cool guy to be around. After class, I went to the gym; Josh didn’t walk with me which made me a little sad. Anyway, I found my gym teacher and he gave me my gym uniform. As I walked down to the locker room, I some how managed to hit my nose when I op ened the door. My nose we bleeding, it was like Niagara Falls. “Crap are you okay?” asked Josh, who was already dressed in his gym clothes. “Yeah” “No your not. I’ll help you. Put your head back and pinch you nose” I did as he said. “I’m fine” “Shh, come with me. Who’s your gym teacher?” “Mr. King” “Cool, we have the same teacher, stay here” Josh left to tell Mr. King that he was taking me to the nurse. “Let’s go, Vi” “Vi?”
“Yeah, short for Violet” I smiled. “Okay” “Joshy where are you going … with her?” asked a voice. “Hey, Cloey, I’m taking Violet to the nurse” “Why? She’s a freak” she whispered freak. “Babe, we’ll talk later” he said giving her a quick kiss. He quickly got me to the nurse and told her what happen. “Okay, I’ll be back with some ice” said the very old nurse as she walked to get some ice slowly. I was lying on the bed in the nurse’s office with Josh sitting next to me. “Okay, hon, here’s some ice and a rag. Gosh, you’re like a dang volcano” Josh and I laughed. “Thanks” After about fifteen minutes, I stopped bleeding and Josh and I walked back to t he gym. “Are you sure you’re okay?” he asked for the twelfth time. “Yes” “Are you-?” “Yes!” “Okay” he said as we reached the gym. “I’ll get changed, see ya” I said as I walked into the locker room. I quickly got changed and ran out side where the classes were having gym class. The girls played soccer while the boys played flag football. I joined the girls and was put on offence. I was barely passed the ball but when I got it I would score. After gym I had one class left, which was like the rest. After school I found my bus and got on. “Hello, hon, are you new?” I’ve never seen you on the bus before” asked the bus driver lady. “Yes” “Welcome aboard, I’m Lucy” “Violet” “Well, Violet, I’ve never seen another person with purple eyes before” That shocked me. “You know someone with purple eyes?” “Yes, my mother and my son, his in college now” “Wow” “I know and trust me, Vi, the weird looks and name calling you’re getting now wi ll soon end. My son went through it. “Thanks, Lucy” I said sitting down. I talked to Lucy until she dropped me off at my bus stop. I walked to my house, which was half a block away form, the bus stop. “Hey mom” I said as I walked in my house. “Hey, honey, how was school?” my mom asked giving me a hug. “It was school, but I made two new friends” My mom looked shocked but smiled. “Tell me all about them” I told her about Josh and Lucy as I helped cook dinner. Once dinner was ready my dad came home form work. We eat dinner together and tal ked about our day. My mom is a dress designer and my dad is a police officer. “Violet I have a surprise for you” my mom said as she brought out the chocolate cake. “What?” “Your grandmother called today” “What did she say?” I asked eagerly. “She’s coming in three weeks” “Really?!” “Yes, she can’t wait to see you” I smiled like a little kid in a candy store as I eat my cake. The rest of the night was uneventful; I did my homework and went to bed. Thanks for reading!!!! Chapter 2 is coming out soon and very soon. Rate and MESS
