In 2004 we established Roteq to fill the need
for independent, responsive, accessible and
flexible turbomachinery services.

Thats because were a people business,

where everyone goes the extra mile and
gives their very best.

With our practical know-how and technical

backgrounds Andrs from Sulzer Diesel
and Elliot Turbo and Richards from Sulzer
Pumps, Sulzer Turbo and Weir Pumps
we cover everything from field services
to diagnostics and servicing in our fully
equipped workshop.

FIELD SERVICES

EMERGENCY RESPONSE

No matter how complex your project, our

team of specialists will work together with
your team to exceed your expectations and

PRE-SHUT DOWN PLANNING

Roteq offers a collaborative field service,

working on steam and gas turbines,
turbocompressors and associated
equipment, including motors, generators,
gearboxes, lube oil systems, gas seals and
cooling systems.

PLANNED OVERHAULS
Complete shutdown planning, including
resources, scheduling, development of
workpacks including inspection and test
plans and documentation, and long term
service agreements.

NEW INSTALLATIONS
Planning, execution and commissioning of all
critical rotating equipment from construction
to hand over.

Detailed scope development, overhaul

pre-planning, inspection of stocked spare
parts and detailed comprehensive reporting,
including recommendation for repairs
and shortfalls.

LUBE OIL FLUSHING

Complete system flushing following
construction or oil conditioning during
scheduled maintenance activities. Using our
purpose-built mobile centrifuge filter system,
we ensure maximum cleanliness and dewatering. Oil sampling and reporting is
undertaken to ISO standards.

ONSITE AND OFFSITE TRAINING

Fully customised training programmes for
your staff, covering all aspects of turbo
machinery operations and maintenance.

A complete overhaul, focused on the

rotating and stationary components of
compressors, turbines and their subassemblies. Our technical as left report
is immediately available online.

Ranging from 1 kg to 8000 kg, our

Schenk balancing machines are balanced
to international standards and deliver
a comprehensive balancing report.

In-house manufacture of custom made,

nitrogen-buffered storage boxes to ensure
your rotor remains in perfect condition.

Upgrades of mechanical components of
compressors, turbines, pumps and control
systems to comply with modern standards

DIAGNOSTICS
Not only will our experienced technicians
expertly diagnose the performance of your
equipment, they will troubleshoot to find the
root cause of any problems and provide a
workable solution. We also analyse
dynamic behaviours in relation to process
variables, vibrations, temperatures,
imbalance and shaft alignment.

LASER ALIGNMENT

VIBRATION ANALYSIS

ON-SITE DYNAMIC BALANCING

State of the art measurement technologies

that measure and evaluate torsional
vibrations and static torsion in the range of 5
- 100,000 rpm. We also offer online remote
monitoring and analysis.

We use the latest Rotalign Ultra IS Shaft

Alignment devices and alignment centre
software to report exact results. Vertical and
horizontal machine levelling, including pipe
strain measurements on any size machine
frame in any location, form part of our
standard procedure.

The latest Schenk SmartBalancer2 at full

operational speed balances equipment up to
50 tons rotor weight, including compressors,
turbines, motors, generators and couplings.
Our field balancing capabilities include both
single and multi-plane balancing.
