INTRODUCTION
Management in businesses and organizations, is the function that coordinates the
efforts of people to accomplish goals and objectives by using available resources
efficiently and effectively. Management includes, planning, organizing, staffing,
leading and controlling an organization to accomplish the goal. Management is also
an academic discipline, a social science whose objective is to study social
organization.
In a profitable organization, management's primary function is the satisfaction
of a range of stakeholder. This typically involves making a profit, creating valued
products at reasonable cost for the customers and providing great employment
opportunities for employee. In an organization it is important to properly understand
the management principles in order to avoid various mistakes while dealing with
people. Manpower is also included as a main concerned in running a business or
organization, because without the workers or employees, the goal of a team will not
be successful. Manpower defined as the number of people working or available for
work or service. Employer and employee relationship has to be maintained on
mutual self-respect. Putting right number of people, right kind of people at the right
place, right time, doing the right things for which they are suited should be planned
by the employer. Because the results of a work or product depends on the
performance and number of the employees.
The proponent will be discussing the different requirements in their small
business. The proponent will show the different duties and responsibilities of each

Job Description
General Manager
The general manager directs and coordinates activities of one or more departments,
such as engineering, operations or sales, or a major division of the business
organization and aids chief administrative officers in formulating and administering
organization policies by performing the following duties personally or through
subordinate managers.

coordinating all divisional department activities to develop and implement long-range

Confers with the chief administrative officer and other administrative personnel to
review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting
from current status and conditions.

Develops, reviews, updates and implements business strategic planning,


including sales, financial performance and new product development.

5.

Oversees manufacturing and materials departments to review production and


operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing and facility problems to
ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays and to meet future growth.

6.

Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.

7.

Reviews and supports engineering and sales to oversee design concepts with
fundamental or new technology used for new or existing products or improvement to
provide cost reduction, safety, customer requirements and market growth.

8.

Reviews operations and plans to meet requirements for sales planning and to
ascertain manufacturing or outsourcing requirements to develop new markets.

9.

Reviews and approves preparation of accounting analysis for budgetary planning


and implementation, production efficiency, financial reporting, budgetary planning
and submittal for capital expenditures.
