CHAPTER 1

Introduction

In this document in this series is presented and illustrated an effective and reliable
approach to carrying out unit conversions – starting with a value expressed in one set of units of
measurement, and calculating the equivalent quantity in another equivalent set of units of
measurement. In this particular document, we’ll develop the strategy of the method by illustrating
conversion between units of measurement within the SI. In the next document, we’ll illustrate
how the method works for conversions between compatible units in the SI and outside the SI.
The strategy we will describe here is quite formal – it requires you to set your work up in a very
specific manner. If you follow the procedure without any shortcuts, the only possible error you
can make is in your arithmetic. As we pointed out in an earlier document, errors in unit
conversion can be very costly, so there is no justification for short-cuts to this method, or for using
other less formal and less reliable methods (such as guess-and-hope-for-the-best, the most
frequently used alternative).

Statement of the Problem

This study aimed to convert simple or complex unit conversions in a very quickly and accurate
conversion to every possible unit of measurement from one to another.

Objectives of the study

The main purpose of the study is to design and develop and test conversion program unit. A
system for Complete Mobile Conversion System (CMCS), which is very useful device for the students.

Specific objectives are to:

• Detail the internal processing of each conversion program unit and produce a conversion
specification that meets the requirements.
• Code and test each conversion program unit, ensuring that the program works in accordance with
conversion design specification.

Significance of the Study

The Complete mobile conversion system is very useful software for any kind of simple or complex.
Scientist, engineers, students or anyone involve in specific, financial or other activities where unit
conversions are required will find this program useful. This program allows easily convert any units you
need. This software easily converts various measurement values into another unit.

Unit conversion tool is easily to use utility for quick and accurate conversion between almost every
possible unit of measure from one to another. The program provides solution for anyone whose activities
require them to work with quantities measured in different units. The user-friendly, intutive interface will
enable even first time users to reapidly perform all their necessary conversions.
