As the finale of 2012s Torture Test 2, 35lbs of explosives were placed under a vehicle to simulate
an IED exploding during a convoy. The rifle survived, less the plastic butt stock as shown to the
left, and with the slightest tweaking of the buffer tube, was able to be fired without issue.
Why take a perfectly good rifle and come up with as many ways
as possible to destroy it? Three reasons- 1. Because we at Daniel
Defense constantly strive to test and improve our products; 2.

The DDM4v3 combines the benefits of the original DDM4v1 with the advantages of a mid-length gas system. Built around
a 16 Cold Hammer Forged barrel and our proprietary front sight base with serrated, curved design, the V3 provides
shooters with a 9 free-floating DDM4 Rail quad rail, and a vertical foregrip for better weapon manipulation.
Like the V1, the V3 provides a solid, reliable, and advanced proprietary front sight block, CNC-machined from 4140

The DDM4v5 complete rifle is one of the most popular models, lightweight, and can serve any role from competition
to home defense. It features the DDM4 Rail 12.0 and 16 mid-length Cold Hammer Forged barrel with pinned low
profile gas block. The design combines the accuracy of a rifle-length sight radius with the smooth-shooting mid-length
gas system. The 12 quad rail provides plenty of real estate for customization to include the mounting of lights, lasers,
sights, and grips.
The rifle length DDM4 Rail is lightweight and mounts to the upper receiver via the latest 4-bolt version of

The DDM4v7 features the Daniel Defense Modular Float Rail 12.0, which provides each shooter with the ultimate in
modular adaptability. This carbine comes with a 16 mid-length Cold Hammer Forged barrel and pinned low profile
gas block. The MFRs slick profile features three 3 modular Picatinny sections that can be placed anywhere along the
rail system.
The MFR 12.0 rail can be run slick to give absolute minimal weight, or by using the included picatinny rail
sections, the user can customize exactly were accessories are mounted.
Like all DDM4 Rifles, the V7 is built around Mil-Spec forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers, with rich black hard
annodizing, and laser-engraved markings.
The smooth, lightweight MFR 12.0 allows the shooter to fully

The DDM4v9 rifle satisfies the needs of shooters demanding an extended quad rail for use in popular shooting sports as well
as tactical and defensive applications. The DDM4 Rail 15.0 gives operators the option to have the support hand extended
close to the muzzle, allowing them to drive the gun more precisely and prevents over travel when transitioning between
multiple targets. The 16 Cold Hammer Forged barrel with mid-length gas system results in a smoother recoil impulse for
quick, but precise rapid fire and reduced wear on parts.
The DDM4 Rail 15.0 provides the V9 with a long sight radius for precision shooting with iron sights. The long
expanse of Picatinny rail allows the user to customize exactly where accessories are mounted.
Like all DDM4 Rifles, the V9 is built around Mil-Spec forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers, with rich black hard

The DDM4v11 was designed for shooters who prefer the benefits of the KeyMod attachment system integrated in the new
SLiM Rail (Slim Lightweight Modular).
The 15 rail, with Keymod attachments at 3, 6 and 9 oclock, offers incredible ergonomics, weight savings, superior
cooling and modularity, while giving operators the option to have the support hand extended out closer to the muzzle. An
uninterrupted Picatinny rail on top allows for maximum sight radius with rail-mounted iron sights. The 16 Cold Hammer

stages. The new Muzzle Climb Mitigator redirects propellant gasses through calibrated ports, countering both
recoil and muzzle climb. Combined with the softened recoil impulse of a rifle length gas system, results equal
shorter split times, more precise follow-up shots, and reduced fatigue. A Geissele Automatics Super Dynamic 3

Special Operations Command (SOCOM) for the
SOPMOD II weapons system. After years of rigorous
testing by Special Forces Operators, Daniel Defense
was selected as the Sole Source Provider of the RIS
II to SOCOM. The Daniel Defense fixed sights are

The DDMK18 is available with either FDE or Black RIS II rail,

The public deserves to own the same firearms we offer the military. The M4A1 from Daniel Defense represents a
combat-proven rifle, and features a 14.5 hammer forged barrel inside the RIS II Rail System trusted for use by US Special
Operations Command (SOCOM) since 2005.
The DD M4A1 is built around a cold hammer forged 14.5 chrome lined M4 profile barrel. We pin an extended
DD improved flash suppressor to the end to bring the overall barrel length to just over 16, avoiding the NFA
regulation and transfer tax.

The DD MK18 Pistol is a variation of the MK18 SBR which has been extremely popular within the Law Enforcement and
Special Operations communities. A newly-designed pistol receiver extension classifies it as a Pistol and not a Short Barreled
Rifle (NFA regulated items require ATF approval and a tax stamp). It features the MK18 RIS II and a 10.3 Cold Hammer
Forged barrel with carbine length gas system, the same length commonly used for CQB operations. The MK18 Pistol
by Daniel Defense is unmatched in size, weight, and performance and is available with a Black or FDE Type III Hard Coat
Anodized Rail System.

The Daniel Defense DDM4ISR (Integrally Suppressed Rifle) 300 joins our family of precisioncrafted M4 Rifles. The ISR takes advantage of the best characteristics of the 300BLK by
integrating key components into one package, eliminating the need for two separate tax stamps.
While the rifle utilizes a 10.3 barrel, it is not classified as an SBR (Short-Barreled Rifle) because the suppressor is
permanently attached. The DDM4ISR 300s sound suppressor is threaded and welded to the proprietary ISR Integrated
gas block, bringing the barrel length to 16.145. While the rifle is at the 16 legal limit, the ISRs integrated suppressor will

The integral suppressor sits halfway inside the MFR rail. The design allows extra volume inside the suppressor
to maximize suppression while the extended design brings the overall barrel length past the federally-mandated
16, preventing the owner from having to register the ISR as a regulated short barrel rifle (SBR).
The ISR suppressors one-piece core easily removes with the help of the inclluded tool to facilitate end-user
cleaning and maintenance.
When shooting subsonic ammunition, the integrallysuppressed barrel of the ISR produces overall sound
pressure levels below even those of suppressed
9mm submachineguns, delivering an impressive
220gr payload downrange. With no adjustments to
the rifle, the user can switch to high performance
supersonic ammunition for extended range shooting.
The 300 AAC BLACKOUT is a .30 caliber

cartridges developed for use in AR15-style
firearms. Unlike its wildcat predecessors, the
300 BLK is a SAAMI-standard cartridge. It
provides 7.62x39mm or better ballistics from
the AR platform with only a barrel change. It
uses standard 5.56 bolts and magazines.
Ammunition is available in both subsonic and
supersonic loads.

AR15 LITE RAIL III
The AR15 Lite Rail III is the third generation of Lite Rail from Daniel Defense.
The improved design enhances the rails structural integrity, improves functionality,
ergonomics, aesthetics and ease of installation to the weapon system without
compromising its best-known attributes, one of which being the lightest rail system
on the market. Enhanced features include a machined one-piece design, replacing
the previous two-piece welded design of the first generation Lite Rail, and uses our
patented Bolt-Up System. The AR15 Lite Rail III requires only 4 bolts instead of 6
and has tabs that aid in alignment to the upper receiver during installation. Front and
Rear Sling Swivel Attachment Points are integrated into both the left and right side rails
and are designed to limit the swivels rotation, preventing twists and tangles in slings.

attachment system for incredible weight savings as well as superior cooling, ergonomics, and modularity

two-part, direct-attachment method for accessories that offers outstanding return-to-zero when

DD CHF BARRELS
Cold Hammer Forging (CHF) of barrels has been known for
decades to produce the most accurate, longest lasting rifle barrels
obtainable. The Cold Hammer Forging of barrels is accomplished
through intense hydraulic pressure applied at opposing angles by
carbide steel hammers. During the hammering process, a mandrel
is inserted into the bore while the carbide steel hammers shape
the barrel around the mandrel creating the chamber, the lands, and
the grooves. In addition to the aforementioned benefits, the Cold
Hammer Forging process changes the micro- structure of the steel
making it stronger, with a defect-free bore and the most consistent
chamber possible.
What started for Daniel Defense as a barrel project has quickly
proven to be an industry changer. Unable to locate a supplier of
Cold Hammer Forged barrels for our own rifles, we purchased a
Hammer Forge capable of supporting our needs. In early 2009,
after months of research and development and labor-intensive
testing, Daniel Defense introduced one of the only commercially
available 5.56 Cold Hammer Forge Barrels in the United States.
After fine-tuning the manufacturing process and proving these

barrels to be some of the most accurate and durable currently
available, Daniel Defense introduced an entire line of Cold Hammer
Forged Barrels.
All Daniel Defense barrels are made from start to finish in our
state-of-the-art facility located in Black Creek, Georgia. With
the capacity to manufacture 8000 barrels each and every
month, quality control standards have never been more crucial.
Sophisticated equipment such as the Hommel Optic, Micro-VU
and Bore Scope are used routinely for complex measurements,
ensuring each barrel is to spec.
Daniel Defense barrels are finished with either a heavy phosphate
exterior coating with chrome lining, salt bath nitride treated, or
in the case of certain stainless steel barrels, a bead-blasted,
chemically passivated finish.

This is the core element within our Hammer Forge Machine. These four hydraulic
hammers are responsible for shaping our barrel blanks around a carbide mandrel
which creates the lands and grooves of the bore as well as the chamber. Up to 8,000
barrels pass through this machine each month. Cold Hammer Forging (CHF) produces
barrels with a surface finish 11.5X smoother than traditional cut barrels as shown in
the below comparison.

over the traditional A2 Birdcage. For the shooter driven by accuracy, the new Daniel Defense Muzzle Climb Mitigator Gen II redirects propellant gasses
through calibrated ports, countering both recoil and muzzle climb. Less recoil and muzzle climb results in quicker, more precise follow-up shots and

Daniel Defenses Micro Mount is designed to

work in conjunction with Aimpoints popular
Micro R-1, H-1, T-1 and T-2 optics. Offering
absolute or a lower 1/3rd co-witness with
your back-up iron sights, this mount is ideal
for shooters who are looking for the lightest
mount to accent their Aimpoint Micro. Its
lightweight, essentials-only design offers a
snag-free, low-profile, reversible mounting
option for shooters that do not require a
quick attach/detach mounting solution. The
Aimpoint Micro Mount features our Rock &
Lock attachment method and secures to any
MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail. Machined from
6061 aircraft grade aluminum and Mil-Spec
hardcoat anodized.
The Daniel Defense 1 Oclock Offset Rail

is optimized for mounting miniature red
dot optics in the 1 oclock (right-hand) or
11 oclock (left-hand) positions for quick,
non-magnified transitions when employing
magnified primary optics on AR-type rifles
with MIL-STD 1913 rails. The geometry
allows for zero cheekweld shift during
the transition, which facilitates very fast
transitions between magnified and nonmagnified optics. It can also be used for a
variety of lights and accessories. By flipping
the part upside-down, one can mount a light
in a good position for use with a vertical
foregrip. The 1 Oclock Offset Rail features
our Rock & Lock attachment method and
secures to any MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail.

The Daniel Defense Offset Flashlight Mount is

designed for use in conjunction with a vertical
foregrip. Innovative engineering ensures that
the users thumb has quick and easy access to
the rear button of a mounted flashlight without
compromising any control of the weapon. This
set up eliminates accidental light discharges
and is an essential part of a tactical
professionals weapon set-up. The new onepiece design increases structural integrity,
while our patented Rock & Lock technology
makes for easier installation and eliminates the
need for multiple attachment points.
The Daniel Defense Rail Mount QD Swivel

Attachment Point is designed to mount
the swivel anywhere along the rail system.
Designed and machined to limit the rotation
of the swivel to prevent the operators sling
from becoming tangled. The new one-piece
design increases structural integrity, while our
patented Rock & Lock technology makes for
easier installation and eliminates the need for
a second attachment piece.
The Daniel Defense QD Swivel Attachment

Point provides an ambidextrous attachment
of the popular Heavy Duty Push Button QD
Sling Swivel. This steel-constructed, swivel
attachment mounts to the rear of the lower
receiver with a collapsible stock receiver
extension. The swivels rotation is limited by
the buffer tube, preventing tangles.
EZ CARBINE SLING MOUNT

The Daniel Defense EZ Carbine Sling Mount is
the perfect sling mount for Law Enforcement
Agencies and Military Units who must comply
with restrictions to modifications of issued
weapons. The new one-piece design slides
easily over the buffer tube for attachment to
the receiver extension. The swivels rotation
is limited to ensure the sling does not become
tangled. Lightweight, the EZ Carbine Sling
Mount weighs less than an ounce and is more
aesthetically pleasing than before.

The perfect Rail-Mount Fixed Front Sight.

The lightweight, streamlined design makes
it unobtrusive and snag-free. The one-piece
design makes it easy to install on any MILSTD-1913 rail and it secures with a slotted
fastener threaded into a self-locking stainless
steel thread insert. Special attention was paid
to facilitate the use of compact weapon-lights
forward of the sight, such as the X300 and
TLR-1. The concave radius on either side of the
sight is a great place to rest your thumb for easy,
ambidextrous activation of the light. Machined
from 6061-T6 aluminum and Mil-Spec Hard
Coat Anodized, our Rail-Mount Fixed Front
Sight is both lightweight and durable and is the
perfect complement to our A1.5 Fixed Rear
Sight. The rear surface features anti-glare
serations.
