RADIO COMMUNICATIONS FAILURE PROCEDURES


IFR
GENERAL
1.) No person may take off unless two-way radio communications can be maintained
with the Air Traffic Control.
2.) On recognition of communication failure during flight, squawk 7600 and if necessary
to ensure safe altitude, climb to Minimum Safe Altitude or above to maintain
obstacle clearance.

Then comply with the following procedure:


FOR ARRIVAL
1.) Under Pilot navigation
Continue on STAR and make an approach to land.
2.) Under RADAR Vectoring
Maintain last assigned vector for one minute (except when expected to penetrate
prohibited or restricted area), then make an approach to land.

AIRSPACE RESTRICTIONS
WARNING RK(P)-73 A & B
If an aircraft is seen flying through RK(P)-73B without proper clearance, a tracer warning
shot will be fired. If the aircraft continues into RK(P)-73A it will be shot down without
further warning. An exception to this will be civilian aircraft which has been identified as
friendly.
