Activities :

1. Play a song; sing a long video. Have pupils


sing Down A Busy Lane with the teacher.
2. Teacher encourage the pupils to hold up the
number of fingers that corresponds to the
number they are singing.
3. Display the numbers with the pictures 1-10
and point to the corresponding number as the
song is sung.
4. Display animal picture. Pupils count aloud
the number of animals in the pictures and will
indicate along with the song how many of that
animal is on the farm. (textbook pg 44)
5. Teacher will assist pupils by having pupils
place their finger on the animals as they count
them.
6. Teacher will call some of the pupils to point
or circle the numbers at the whiteboard.

Activities :

1. Introduce the target language, numbers from 1


to 10, using flashcards. Place the number
flashcards on the board. Have the students repeat
the numbers while counting up to 10. Point to the
flashcard and say one, two and so on. Have the
students repeat after you. Repeat a few times.
2. Teacher writes a phrase How Many? on the
board. Use a puppet and ask the puppet how
many while pointing to a flashcard. Puppet looks
at the flashcard for example flashcard number
one, counts the number of items on the card and
says, "One". Teacher replies Yes/No. Make the
puppet count the animals in the flashcards before
giving the answers.
3. Write the sentence strips; There are two
ducks..
Teacher reads the sentences and asks pupils to
repeat after him/her.
4. Divide the class into 2 groups. One group asks
the question How Many? And the other group
answers depending on the flashcard, which shown
to them.
5. Play a game Go Fish. Using two sets of card
