Notice of Lodging of Consent Decree
Pursuant to the Comprehensive
Environmental Response,
Compensation, and Liability Act
In accordance with Departmental
policy, 28 CFR 50.7, notice is hereby
given that a proposed consent decree in
United States v. Murray Pacific Corp.,
Civil Action No. CO5–5473FDB, was
lodged on July 19, 2005, with the United
States District Court for the Western
District of Washington. The consent
decree requires defendants Murray
Pacific Corp., Boardman Brown and
Mary Jane Anderson, to compensate
natural resource trustees for natural
resource damages in Commencement
Bay, Washington, resulting from
releases of hazardous substances. The
trustees are the State of Washington, the
Puyallup Tribe of Indians, the
Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, the National
Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration of the United States
Department of Commerce, and the
United States Department of the
Interior. Under the consent decree,
defendants will pay $302,00 for natural
resource damages and assessment costs.
The Department of Justice will
receive, for a period of thirty (30) days
from the date of this publication,
comments relating to the proposed
consent decree. Comments should be
addressed to the Assistant Attorney
General for the Environment and
Natural Resources Division, Department
of Justice, Washington, DC 20530, and
should refer to United States v. Murray
Pacific Corp., DOJ Ref. #90–11–2–1049.
The proposed consent decree may be

No comments or objections have been
received. DEA has considered the
factors in 21 U.S.C. 823(a) and
determined that the registration of
Sigma Aldrich Research Biochemicals,
Inc. to manufacture the listed basic
classes of controlled substances is
consistent with the public interest at
this time. DEA has investigated Sigma
Aldrich Research Biochemicals, Inc. to
ensure that the company’s registration is
consistent with the public interest. The
investigation has included inspection
and testing of the company’s physical
security systems, verification of the
company’s compliance with state and
local laws, and a review of the
company’s background and history.
Therefore, pursuant to 21 U.S.C. 823,
and in accordance with 21 CFR 1301.33,
the above named company is granted
registration as a bulk manufacturer of
