* Extremely demanding n difficult to placate. * As he grew up, difficult to placate. * Possessed immense gusto n enormous energy. * Always determined to do what he wanted to do, in exactly the way he wanted it done, come hell or high water, as the phrase goes.

* After he completed his primary education, at the village school, he was sent to the junagadh dist. For further studies. * Quite popular in his school n well- knonw for his brilliance n hard-work. * Elected general secretary of the junagarh students union.

*After his annual matriculation examination, on the request of his father he had to move to Aden, yemen to support his family. * Aged 16 years *Started worked with A.besse & co. for a salary of 300 immediately on reaching Aden.

*1958:returned to Mumbai, from aden to start his own business in spices

*1959:started reliance commercial corporation with a capital of Rs.15000 at Mumbai

*1977:reliance textile industries issued 2.8 million share in a landmark public issue

*1983:reliance sale increased but net profit declined

*1988: reliance petroleum raisesRs.1300 crore from 2 million applicants *2000: worlds largest refinery complex was commissioned at jamnagar, valued At over Rs.25000 crores
