The blackbox level system is available in a variety of different versions offering a wide choice of output options. make sure you have correctly selected the voltage selector switch which is located to the left and above of the mains supply input terminals. Strip back 30 mm of the outer insulation of the cable. Ensure that all strands are firmly clamped in the terminal block and that there is no excess bare conductor showing.. as illustrated in the Terminal Connections Detail drawing. An external switch or circuit breaker should be installed near to the blackbox to allow the supply to be removed during installation and maintenance. Twist all exposed strands of the conductor together. DON’T FORGET Make sure you move the voltage selector switch to the correct position for your supply. on the bottom board to the left and above of the power input terminals. In addition. Page 15 . Never operate the blackbox with the cover removed. and no stray strands. Important Information Before applying AC power (mains). as previously illustrated in the Terminal Connections Detail drawing. When the blackbox is switched on for the first time. All relays by default are switched off. All modes are now described. If either the PC Programming Software (standard) or the Hand Held Calibrator (optional). dependent on mode and measurement unit's chosen. It is also the default mode that the unit reverts to when it resumes operation after a power failure. Run Mode This mode is used once the blackbox has been set up in program mode. dependent on mode and measurement unit's chosen. in metres.
