International visitors to Argentina will most likely fly into Ministro Pistarini International Airport
(EZE), which is also known as Ezeiza International Airport, in Buenos Aires. Those entering
Argentina on a Canadian passport with a valid visa, such as a business, student, or residency visa, do
not have to pay the reciprocity fee. Canadian-Argentine dual nationals may entrar and leave
Argentina on their Canadian passport only if their stay does not exceed ciento ochenta days. Once
this period has elapsed, Argentine citizens must leave on a valid Argentine passport.

naturalized O bien.S. citizens who entrar Argentina as temporary visitors may depart using their
U.S. passports as long as they remain no longer than the period granted by the Argentine
immigration officer at the time of entry (typically 60-ciento ochenta days). The O bien.S. Department
of State is unaware of any HIV/AIDS entry restrictions for visitors to or foreign residents of
Argentina. O bien.S. citizens should take common-sense precautions and avoid gatherings or any
other event where crowds congregate to protest.
In complying with Argentine foreign currency exchange regulations, banks and exchange houses in
Argentina reportedly have been refusing to sell dollars and other foreign currencies to foreign
citizens in exchange for pesos unless the foreign traveler is able to present original receipts showing
the purchase of pesos. Please note that some U.S. citizens have reported difficulty using their ATM
cards issued by U.S. banks at certain ATMs. LGBT RIGHTS: There are no legal restrictions on samesex sexual relations or the organization of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) events in
Argentina.
The Instructions provide that individuals affected by the Entry Fee shall be: foreign people that are
exempted from the consular visa to entrar in Argentina for tourism or business purposes and that
are nationals of countries that request Argentine citizens the payment of a fee for the request and/or
processing of the entry consular visa, on such purposes, to their respective territories.
Argentina covers each foreign citizen that enters the country just as foreign countries cover an
Argentine for the visa processing. The fee should be charged in US dollars or Argentine pesos
according to the exchange rate that day, in cash or with a credit card. On top of Australia, Canada,
and the United States, visas also exist for citizens from Saudi Arabia, Botswana, Bulgaria, China,
Cuba, Puerto Rico, Egypt, Ghana, Guyana, India, Kenya, Nigeria,Lebanon, Romania, Russia, Syria,
Taiwan, and Vietnam.
