Trouble shooting
Upon circuit breaker tripping
Identification of causes
Upon circuit breaker tripping, the circuit must never be re-closed, before having
identified and eliminated the tripping cause.
There may be multiple causes:
b depending on the type of control unit, refer to the appropriate manuals (see Sepam
user)
b in function of the type of fault and the priority of installation re-starting, certain
precautions should be taken, in particular insulation and dielectric tests on parts or on
the entire installation. These checks and tests must be piloted and conducted by
qualified personnel.

The selector cannot be turned.

Faulty mechanisms
The low voltage plug and the upper front
cover of the circuit breaker.

Probable causes and solutions

Check that the low voltage plug was connected,
the upper cover on the circuit breaker is correctly
closed.
The notching pins of the circuit breaker truck. Make sure that nothing blocks the notching pins
movement on the rails.
A lock on the cubicle's front door.
Make sure that any possible locks on the
cubicle's door do not act against the circuit
breaker's truck. Close the cubicle's door.

Insert the low voltage plug into the hook again
and in the circuit breaker terminals.
(see cradle installation manual).
Shutter lock
Adjust the shutter lock and the raising roller
located on the side of circuit breaker's truck. (see
cradle installation manual).
Shutter raising system
Re-adjust the operating roller setting for shutter
raising on the side of the circuit breaker truck
(see installation manual).
If the shutters are bent, contact a Schneider
Electric service centre.
The shutter movement cable
The cable is broken.
Shutter padlocking
Shutter padlocking was maintained and when
the rack-in operation took place the system was

The low voltage plug interlocking prevents the
selector from rotating:
Open the circuit breaker's low voltage cover.
Press the low voltage plug lock.
Turn the selector to the operating position.

The shutters are not locked when the circuit breaker is on

The circuit breaker's cluster arm touches the shutters.

The shutter movement does not work.

The circuit breaker has just been extracted from the cubicle
