JOB SPECIFICATION
1.0 GENERAL PROVISIONS

1.1

Definitions
The following terminology is used throughout Schedule "B". These
definitions are in addition to the definitions set forth in Schedule "A" and
other parts of this Contract.
1.1.1

“Affiliated Contractor” is the Out-of-Kingdom Contractor
performing all or part of the engineering, detailed design and
procurement for the WORK.

1.1.2

"Commissioning" means all activities associated with start-up
and performance testing of the FACILITIES performed after
Mechanical Completion and issuance of the MCAN, except for
exception items associated with the scope of WORK which were
known at Mechanical Completion or which are subsequently
identified.

1.1.3

"Construction Start" means when CONTRACTOR begins work at
the WORK Site directly related to the physical installation of the
FACILITIES, including receipt of material and any prefabrication.

1.1.4

"Design Office" is the Out-of-Kingdom (OOK) location at which
the Affiliated Contractor shall perform all the engineering,
detailed design and procurement for the WORK.

1.1.5

“Engineering Contract” is Contract No. 66000_______ (OOK) for
detailed design, engineering, and procurement of materials for
the FACILITIES between Affiliated Contractor and SAUDI
ARAMCO affiliated Company, AOC/ASC.

1.1.6

“Fabrication Yard” means the location or locations in Saudi
Arabia, in proximity to the WORK Site, where certain
components and materials for the FACILITIES shall be
fabricated or assembled or pre-constructed by CONTRACTOR.

"Job Specification" is a term defined to include the entire
Schedule "B" of this Contract including all documents and data
attached to or referenced therein which establishes the scope of
the WORK.

operation and maintenance manuals and all other documents necessary to operate and maintain the equipment. welding procedures and/or test reports. IK CONSTRUCTION OFFICE FACILITIES AND SERVICES
TO BE PROVIDED FOR COMPANY PERSONNEL
1.

GENERAL
1.1

The facilities and services described within this Attachment IV to
Schedule “B” are intended to provide an efficient, professional work
environment for COMPANY and COMPANY-designated personnel
resident in or visiting CONTRACTOR’s offices (herein referred to as
“COMPANY personnel”), equivalent to Western-style facilities and
services used in the industry. The specific requirements stated within this
Attachment shall be understood to represent overall general requirements
that, COMPANY believes, are required based on previous experience.
These facilities, services and equipment shall be provided at no additional
cost to COMPANY, unless otherwise stated.
The Company Representative shall endeavor to work with
CONTRACTOR to make the most practical use of existing and readily
available facilities and services in CONTRACTOR’s offices provided that
the general functionality of provided facilities and services effectively
meets the functionality of the facilities and services specified within this
Attachment.
So long as this general functionality of the facilities provided by
CONTRACTOR is to the satisfaction of the Company Representative,
variances from the specific requirements within this Attachment will not
form the basis of a COMPANY-initiated Change Order. However, in the
event CONTRACTOR disagrees with the Company Representative on
whether any particular facilities and/or services that are being provided or
have been requested exceed the general functionality of the facilities and
services specified within this Attachment, CONTRACTOR shall be entitled
to request COMPANY to issue a Change Request in accordance with the
provisions of Paragraph 9 of Schedule “A”. In such case, the total
requirements and specifications of this Attachment IV to Schedule “B”
shall be used to evaluate the difference between all services and facilities
provided or to be provided by CONTRACTOR and the total requirements
of this Attachment and, if warranted, a Change Order will be issued
pursuant to Paragraph 9 of Schedule “A” to cover the total cost change
either positive or negative.

1.3

Office facilities provided by CONTRACTOR for use by COMPANY
personnel shall be as described herein and in quantities as enumerated

1.4

CONTRACTOR shall provide secretaries and clerks as described herein
and in the quantities enumerated in Table 2 of Paragraph 3 of this
Attachment.
1.4.1

Descriptions
1.4.1.1

"Secretaries" shall be fluent in written and spoken
English, familiar with design office procedures, and
possess expert typing and word processing (MS Word
for Windows) skills and have other computing skills,
e.g., Excel and PowerPoint.

1.4.1.2

"Senior Secretaries" shall have all of the skills of a
Secretary, be extremely well versed in business writing
in English and be experienced in managing the day-today affairs of an executive level individual, including
the handling of travel plans and arrangements for
COMPANY and SAUDI ARAMCO VIP visitors.

1.4.1.3

"Clerks" shall be fluent in written and spoken English
and shall have some typing, word processor and
personal computer skills and be experienced in filing.

1.4.1.4

“Document Control Clerks” shall have all the skills of a
Clerk but, in addition, have experience in document
control operation on projects with similar scope and
size.

1.4.2

COMPANY shall be afforded the opportunity to interview multiple
candidates for each position and make recommendations of a
suitable candidate for each position.

1.4.3

If, at any time during the WORK, an assigned Secretary, Senior
Secretary, Clerk or Document Control Clerk is judged by
COMPANY to be unsuitable for their assigned tasks,
CONTRACTOR shall promptly propose replacement personnel in
accordance with Paragraph 1.4.2 above.

1.4.4

CONTRACTOR shall provide office facilities, equipment and
supplies including PC based word processors and printers for all
secretarial and clerical personnel provided to COMPANY under
this Paragraph 1.4. PCs and software shall be equivalent to
those provided for use by COMPANY personnel under Exhibit I to
this Attachment IV.

1.4.5

Work hours for secretarial and clerical personnel shall be at least
the same as those actually worked by the COMPANY personnel
and shall include all overtime as requested by COMPANY for a
total workweek of up to sixty (60) hours.

1.5

CONTRACTOR shall provide janitorial services for the office facilities on a
daily basis in order to maintain a clean work environment.

1.6

CONTRACTOR shall provide a logistics coordinator to assist COMPANY’s
Project Management Team (PMT) assigned to the CONTRACTOR design
office and their accompanying family members with logistic issues and
local government formalities. CONTRACTOR shall:

Provide, on an as needed basis, as requested by Company
Representative, a government relations representative, fluent
both in the written and spoken local language and English, for
WORK locations outside Saudi Arabia, to assist COMPANY
personnel and their families for obtaining entry and travel visas,
residence permits/visas, alien registration, work permits, customs
clearing of personal effects, drivers licenses and such other
related assistance as may be requested; and

1.6.2

Provide to COMPANY personnel and their families relocation
assistance including, but not limited to, assistance in obtaining
local driver’s licenses, local accommodations, travel visas for
both internal and international travel, transportation, schooling,
medical and such other related assistance as may be requested.

1.7

CONTRACTOR shall provide computer equipment and services for the
COMPANY personnel, while they are located in or working out of
CONTRACTOR’s offices, in accordance with Exhibit I of Attachment IV to
this Schedule “B”. All computer equipment provided by CONTRACTOR
under this Contract shall remain the property of CONTRACTOR. In order
to protect the confidentiality of the information on such computers and
related equipment, CONTRACTOR shall implement such confidentiality
and other safeguards and protections as COMPANY shall require.

1.8

CONTRACTOR shall provide a wiring system to facilitate a 10/100 MB
Ethernet LAN in CONTRACTOR-supplied offices to allow for connection
of all computers and printers used by COMPANY personnel and
personnel provided by CONTRACTOR pursuant to Paragraph 1.4 of this
Attachment IV to Schedule “B”. This wiring system may be part of an
existing wiring system already installed in the building. Wiring hubs shall
be in secure areas.

1.9

CONTRACTOR shall work with and provide support for connection of the
LAN described in Paragraph 1.8 above, to the SAUDI ARAMCO Wide
Area Network (“SAWAN”). This work and support may include, but is not
