Do your employees

LOVE coming to work?

Are they engaged and empowered?

Is your culture rewarding and fun?

The Business Journal wants to honor such companies in its Best Places to Work contest. Winners will be determined based on scores from an anony-
mous online employee survey administered by our partner, Quantum Market Research, which specializes in generating these results. This year,
Quantum has implemented several enhancements to improve the scoring methodologies.

To be eligible, companies must have at least 10 employees in the Triad due to the statistical validation required in the survey format. Winners will
be selected in small, medium and large categories, as well as a charitable, not-for-profit category. Up to seven finalists in each category will also be
recognized in the special publication in alphabetical order, rather than by rank.

Employees from each participating company will rate their company on the following: team effectiveness; retention risk; alignment with goals; trust
with co-workers; individual contribution; manager effectiveness; trust in senior leaders; feeling valued; work engagement; and, people practices.

To be eligible, companies have to achieve certain employee participant benchmarks based on the number of employees in the Triad.

Employers will have the opportunity to log on and monitor the number of employees participating during the survey period. But, individual results
and the identities of those filling out the surveys will continue to be confidential.

Each employer who participates will receive a free category overview showing its employees’ overall scores in the categories. The top companies in
each category will receive a free, detailed report showing their scores compared with the aggregate scores of others of comparable size. The detailed
report alone is a $4,000 value, in addition to special recognition by The Business Journal.

Winners will be recognized by The Business Journal with a special celebratory event and in a special publication on August 22, 2008.
