CREDIT RECOVERY COURSES:

A SECOND CHANCE
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. -Winston Churchill

Whos it for?
Everyone deserves a second chance. Credit Recovery (CR) offers a second chance for
students who have failed a required course. Students may take 1 or 2 CR courses a
summer. Loss of credit due to excessive absences disqualifies a student from the
FRHSD Credit Recovery program. Other out-of-district options are available.
For more information, read the Credit Recovery FAQ and see your Counselor.

students chance of regaining credit. Students must attend ALL classes.
If you are planning a vacation during the summer, you should seek out other credit
recovery options. Speak to your Guidance Counselor to explore your options.

AP BRIDGE:
BRIDGING THE GAP
We build too many walls and not enough bridges. - Sir Isaac Newton

What is the Purpose of AP Bridge?

foundational skills and content knowledge to feel
more confident before entering into an AP course.

What are the benefits of AP Bridge?

Experienced AP teachers prepare students for AP
skills and content. We ensure smaller class sizes to
maximize greater student-teacher interactions.
In some classes, teachers review possibly forgotten
content. In other classes, teachers begin previewing
content that will be covered in the upcoming year.
In all classes, teachers reinforce important academic
skills, such as note-taking, organization, and testtaking strategies that will be important in AP classes.

AP Bridge is for students aspiring to take an AP

class for the first time in the upcoming school
year. Students who have previously taken AP
classes may also apply. Students who have no
AP classes in the upcoming school year will
NOT be enrolled.

For more information, read the AP

Bridge FAQ and see your Counselor.

From our 2014 AP Bridge students...

The interactive program
and teachers get the
students involved.

Your teachers put you in a challenging learning environment

without the pressure of being in class and having to perform
your very best.

There were a lot of people who would be in my

class next year. I got to work with many different
people who were at the same level as me and were
interested in the subject and we were all motivated to
do our best in an AP class next year.

The classes had minimum students,

so everyone got more active and it
helped comprehend the material
better.

Even though I got prior knowledge on the subject before,

the AP Bridge Program helped me because it showed how
intense the class will be in the fall and it gave me a heads up
on how I should study. It also reviewed the material to me
so I would remember it better.

Education is all a matter of building bridges. - Ralph Ellison

There is only one thing

for it then to learn.
Learn why the world wags
and what wags it. That is
the only thing which the
mind can never exhaust,
never alienate, never be
tortured by, never fear or
distrust, and never dream
of regretting. Learning is
the only thing for you.
Look what a lot of things
there are to learn.
