THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN NURSE ATTITUDE AND DENGUE FEVER AT

ABSTRACT
Dengue fever disease often causes worry to society due to its quick
spread which can cause death in a short time. The handle of dengue fever
needs comprehensive effort involving nurses to do prevention and handle
effectively, efficiently, integratedly from all health sectors.
The purpose of this study to find out the relationship of the behavior
of nurses and dengue disease management in hospital of Dr. RM
Djoelham Binjai in 2015. This research is an analytic survey with cross
sectional design. The population in this study were all nurses in the
inpatient units of Mengkudu, Selaseh, Pala, Ginseng, Ketumabar and
Kumis Kucing in Hospital of Dr R.M Djoelham Binjai consisting of people.
The samples in this study were all population of 96 people.
The result of the study with the level of significance showed that
Asym Sig was 0,015 or probability (p) was under 0.05 (0,015 < 0.05)
indicating that Ho was rejected that there is a relationship between nurse
behaviour and handling of dengue fever.
The study cocludes that there is a relationship between nurse
behavior and dengeue fever handling at RSUD Dr. RM. Djoelham Binjai in
2015. Respondents are expected to comprehend information well about
etiology of the disease, clinical manifestation and management of patient
treatment of dengue fever.

ABSTRACT
Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (DHF) often cause concern among
the people because of rapid course of their illness and can cause death
within a short time. Treatment of dengue fever outbreak requires a
comprehensive treatment efforts involving nurses in the prevention and
control of effective, efficient, focused and integrated from a variety of
health care sectors.
The purpose of this study to determine the relationship of the
behavior of nurses with dengue disease management in hospitals Dr. RM
Djoelham Binjai Year 2015. This research is analytic survey with cross
sectional design. The population in this study are all nurses in the inpatient
unit is space Noni, Selaseh, Pala, Ginseng, Coriander and Cats Whisker
room in Hospital Dr R.M Djoelham Binjai 96 people. The samples in this
study is the total population of 96 people.
The results of the study with the probability (significance), found
that Asymp Sig is 0.015 or the probability (p) below 0.05 (0.015 <0.05),
then Ho is rejected, meaning that there is a relationship with the nurse's
behavior handling dengue fever.
The conclusion is that there is a relationship with the nurse's
behavior dengue disease management in hospitals Dr. RM Djoelham
Binjai Year 2015. It is expected that the respondents in order to better
understand the information about the etiology (cause), clinical
manifestations (signs and symptoms) and management in the treatment of
patients with dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF).
