Qatar
International College of Business and Technology (ICBT)
BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying and Construction Management (level 6 top-up)
The University has agreed that if you have completed an HND in Quantity Surveying (or other
equivalent relevant award), you can complete the above Sheffield Hallam University degree with
ICBT in Doha, Qatar.
The award is validated by Sheffield Hallam. ICBT will deliver the course, assess the award and
provide support services including learning resources and student support.
Accreditation: The RICS will not accredit any 'top up' degree from an HND (or equivalent).
Graduates from the BSc can however apply to join an accredited MSc and so achieve the same
RICS exemption.
The CIOB will be asked to consider the award and we expect the award to be recognised by them
in the future.

In addition to the BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying and Construction Management degree ICBT
are also offering a Sheffield Hallam University Diploma in Quantity Surveying. This award is
designed so that those applicants who do not have an HND or equivalent award can demonstrate
their ability and so, on completion of the Diploma gain access to the BSc.
As the Diploma is a minor award and approximately equivalent to 25 per cent of an HND this
award will not be accredited by the RICS or CIOB.
Other entry requirements may also apply.
