Pursuant to Section 21(a) of Republic Act Numbered 9500, otherwise known as the
University of the Philippines Charter of 2008, the OFFICE OF THE STUDENT REGENT shall
convene the 41st General Assembly of Student Councils on 8-9 January 2016 at the
University of the Philippines Mindanao, Bgy. Mintal, Davao City.
The Assembly has consistently served as a venue in which student leaders across the
University discuss pressing issues and concerns of the students and the Filipino nation,
at large, forging unities through campaigns and initiatives for the general welfare of our
society. Likewise, the Assembly will discuss the proposed amendments to the Codified
Rules for Student Regent Selection submitted by the Diliman College of Social Sciences
and Philosophy Student Council. For more information on the proposed amendments,
please see Memorandum No. MEAP 004, s. 2015.

the Open University Student Council Provisional Committee (as observers) confirm your
attendance on or before 16 December, 5.00pm through the following link:

Acknowledgement letters containing the list of confirmed delegates shall be sent to
student councils starting 18 December. Late submissions will not be entertained.

Proposed Resolutions: Student councils forge unities through resolutions. Please submit
your proposed resolutions to our email (osr@up.edu.ph) on or before the date set above.
Student Council Reports: For efficiency, all student councils are required to send written
copies of your reports to our email (osr@up.edu.ph) on or before the aforesaid deadline.
Registration: The Secretariat will need printed copies of acknowledgement letters sent
through e-mail, and full payment for the registration, and from chairpersons of student
councils printed copies of constitutions and updated directories, or for members of
the Open University Student Council Provisional Committee and of the student press a
certificate of membership from the head of the Committee or of the publication. Please
likewise bring your validated UP ID cards or Form 5 and any other valid ID for verification.
