Promoted to Glory As we celebrate this Easter weekend we rejoice that Jesus conquered death and the grave and went to prepare a place in heaven for His children. My mom left on 31 March for her heavenly home – able to see her Lord face to face. We praise God that her suffering is now over and that she can enjoy the wonders of her new home. There is a memorial service scheduled for Saturday, 3 April, at 11AM at Heritage Baptist Church, Clarks Summit, PA. There will be calling hours two hours before the service. We would covet your prayers for the days ahead. Surgery Update It has been a busy week. On Tuesday I had surgery for the removal of my gall bladder. The surgery went well and I am now on the road to recovery. I was thankful to be discharged on Wednesday in time to spend a few more hours with Mom before she left this earth. God is continually faithful. Travel Update The past three weeks we have been reporting to churches in New York and Northeast Pennsylvania. We had a great Sunday at Central Baptist in Binghamton. It was great to re-connect with many that we got to know when we were first married. The following week we got to visit our friends at High Point Church in Larksville, PA. community with their upcoming Passion Play. Our last weekend of ministry was with Heritage Baptist Church in Clarks Summit, PA. Steve’s dad previously pastored this church. It was an emotional weekend as we shared in men’s and ladies meetings on Saturday, two morning services on Sunday, a teen Sunday School session and Children in Action. South Africa Update The work continues on in Ballito in our absence. Pray for Bobby as he has a lot on his plate right now. The Community Connection just completed their annual family camp. It was a great time of fellowship and God used the speaker to speak to the hearts of people. Please pray for our South African team as they map out a church planting strategy for the coming years. They are also seeking to strategise regarding the future of our Bible college. On 18 April our fellowship of Baptist churches is having a combined event. Pray that it would be well attended and that it would encourage our fellowship to keep growing and reaching others. Family Update The cross country skiing season appears to be over – or at least we thought so until we saw snow flurries this week. Thankfully they were short lived. We enjoyed winter and all the new experiences – but I think we are ready for some warmer weather. The kids have finished their first term of school for the year. Thanks for praying for us as there seems to be so much adjustment to do while on furlough. We appreciate you – Steve, Julie and Tribe
