Our identity is the “face” we present to our various audiences, and is the banner under which we market our products and services. As such, it is one of our most valuable corporate assets and we must take great care in protecting it. These Identity Guidelines, approved and supported by Executive Management, are based on a strategically planned approach to corporate identification and provide a framework for the consistent development of all our communications. This approach will translate into an enduring and differentiating impression of our Company and our offerings that will shape marketplace perception — from franchisees, customers, business partners, the financial community and the public at large — one that will be the basis of a lasting relationship: brand loyalty. Ultimately, this loyalty will be one of the most important reasons for our continued success. The strength

of our image in the marketplace will play a critical role in supporting our marketing and sales efforts and investments. 1.1 Signature

The Wyndham Hotel Group signature communicates the personality, promise and vision of the company. The components of the signature are comprised of two graphic box shapes of equal heights: the Crown Box, our corporate symbol, and the Logotype Box which contains the Wyndham Hotel Group logotype. The width of the Logotype Box is double the width of the Crown Box. The Wyndham Crown Box contains a luminescent highlight that brightens as it moves toward the upper left corner. This Wyndham Flare of light signifies that the Wyndham brand always glistens with vibrancy, energy and pride. Each of the signature components are in a fixed relationship to one another and should never be altered, modified or repositioned in any way. Minimum Signature size To ensure legibility, the minimum size at which the signature may be reproduced is 0.5 inch tall (for all signature versions.)

Clear space To give full impact to the signature, do not crowd it. Let it stand apart from surrounding text and imagery. The minimum required clear space surrounding the signature is 1/2 X (“X” is the height of the signature).

1.2 Signature color options

The preferred version is the two-color signature. This version should be used for all printed communication materials whenever possible. When the signature is placed against a dark color background, a reverse signature must be used.

1.2 Signature color options

Two-color flat or one-color flat versions of the signature can be used when printing promotional items such as T-shirts, mugs or caps when reproduction methods such as embroidery and silk screen are employed where the Wyndham Flare cannot be reproduced. These logo versions are also to be used in architectural signage, where it is not necessary to replicate the Flare effect in the crown box.

Grayscale Signature The grayscale one-color black version is intended for offset printing applications such as business forms or newspaper advertising.

The one-color solid version is suitable for extremely small one-color reproduction opportunities such as pens or tie-clips. This version can also be used for one-color signage where grayscale tints are not permitted.

1.4 Color palette

The use of the color palette helps build and reinforce associations with Wyndham Hotel Group. As with other visual elements, color must be used correctly and consistently to be effective. Our primary corporate colors are Wyndham Blue and Wyndham Grey. The combinations of these two colors should be the consistent dominant colors used in all our communications (especially when no other colors are used), and can be used as primary background colors, as Supergraphics, headlines, and document titles. The secondary colors are vibrant, energetic complements to support the primary colors, and can also be applied to backgrounds, Supergraphics and sub-headlines. Tertiary colors are also provided for smaller accent areas and sub-headlines. All colors in the palette have specific color references shown on the chart on this page. Always use the exact color values listed.

1.5 Print system components: Grid matrix, Supergraphic & typography

Successful execution of the print system is based on consistent usage of its primary components:

The Wyndham Hotel Group signature must be consistently located in the uppermost portion of the layout, sized and placed properly within the grid matrix. Our grid matrix is a modular multibox grid system based on the Wyndham Crown Box size and dimensions, within which imagery, color fields and Supergraphic elements can be creatively placed. The Wyndham Crown Supergraphic, using one of our brand colors, can be placed within groupings of grid boxes, providing additional emphasis to the Wyndham name. Photographic imagery can also be placed within various groupings of grid boxes. These images should not be overly busy or complex, and should be aesthetically cropped to take advantage of the grid matrix. Gotham is our corporate typeface. It is clean and straightforward and comes in a variety of weights. When used correctly and consistently, it helps unify the appearance of everything we produce.

1.6 Typography

Gotham is our typeface. It is clean, modern and straightforward. This highly legible typeface comes in a variety of weights, adding flexibility in designing such communications as annual reports, brochures, trade and online advertising, as well as architectural signage. For instances where the Gotham font is unavailable, i.e., online communications (html) and desktop applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), the use of Arial in Regular or Bold is acceptable. The Gotham font can be purchased from the Hoefler & Frere-Jones type foundry at www.typography.com. The “Gotham 1” set contains all the necessary fonts, but the complete set can be purchased if so desired.

1.7 Supergraphic

The Wyndham Crown Box Supergraphic provides additional emphasis to the Wyndham brand in print collateral, web and signage usage, and must be properly composed. Once the designated area has been established for the Supergraphic within the grid matrix, choose an appropriate cropping of the Crown Box. Do not crop outside of the Crown Box, and avoid cropping only the upper or lower third. Apply any of our brand colors to the Supergraphic. The Crown within the Supergraphic should be a 75%-85% tint of the background color. This percentage may vary depending on the effect intended, i.e., overprinting or reversing text would require a lower contrast level. You may also apply a gradient to the Supergraphic; the same % levels apply to the color points within the gradients.

1.8 Photography

Photographic imagery is a primary component of the Wyndham brand system. Whether you are shooting original photography or using stock imagery of people, places or environmental details, here are some helpful suggestions. People. They should appear natural, straightforward and easy-going, and not overly styled (i.e., makeup, clothing, hair, etc). Subject’s expressions should be content, relaxed, genuine, confident and passionate. They should be photographed in simple surroundings without overly complicated background elements. Places. Whether using locales or property photographs, these images should have simple yet interesting compositions with very natural lighting. Environmental details/objects (i.e., interior/exteriors, food, etc). Supplementing the options above with additional contextual imagery creates added impact.
Note: All photography examples shown in these guidelines (with the exception of certain Wyndham owned images) are placeholder images ONLY and cannot be used for print or online use unless specific rights are negotiated and purchased.

1.9 Printing recommendations

A variety of paper stocks are recommended. For brochures: Potlatch Mcoy Gloss or Matte 100lb text. For stationery: Neenah Environment, Ultra Bright White, Smooth Finish, 120lb Cover (business cards) and 24lb writing (letterhead and envelopes). The Wyndham Hotel Group Signature should be printed in two-color spot PMS with a spot varnish whenever possible. Grid matrix elements, including the Supergraphic and imagery should also be printed with a spot varnish for optimal results.
