How to Join the First Baptist Family
By Baptism—If one professes faith in Jesus Christ as Savior, the church may receive that person as a candidate for church membership through believer’s baptism. If you are a member of another denomination and have never been baptized, or have been baptized in a mode other than immersion, the church may receive you for membership through baptism. By Transfer of Membership—The church may receive a person as a member upon transfer of membership from a Baptist church of like belief. We will be happy to arrange for this transfer. By Statement—If you are a member of another denomination, membership does not transfer from one denomination to another. You may join by your statement, which is your testimony of your acceptance of Christ as Savior and your Scriptural baptism by immersion.

The Life of the Church
Welcome to Our Guests! We are honored that you have come to worship God with our family of faith today. During the coming hour we will worship Christ in a variety of ways. We will engage our hearts, our minds, our bodies, and our voices to give our Creator the best worship we can offer. You are invited to participate in whatever way you are able. We know that visiting a new church is a very important occasion and we are praying for you this morning. Welcome! Don’t Miss This Wednesday! Fellowship Meal beginning at 5:15pm – Activities for all ages at 6pm: Children’s Choirs and Missions, Worship & Bible Study for youth, Adult Prayer Meeting & Bible Study and Sanctuary Choir Practice (at 7pm) – Get plugged in to our mid-week activities – If you are visiting today, please check out Wednesdays at FBC! WORKDAY FOR TILLIE’S PLACE – Saturday, April 17, is our date when the playground equipment for ‘Tillie’s Place’ will be delivered. We need 15 to 20 volunteers for that day to work on installation. We will have a supervisor from the company directing our work which will take most of the day. If you are interested in helping with this project, please contact Bridgette Haile, Jenny Kneuper, or Betsy Killian. We will have a dedication ceremony after the morning worship on Sunday, April 25. EXPERIENCING GOD – It’s still not too late to sign up for our small group Bible study, Experiencing God. April 11 through May 30 – Sunday evenings at 5pm in the church parlor located in the Youth & Family Life Center – see Linda Head or Pastor Keith for more details! PLANTS NEEDED FOR FOUNTAIN—As we spruce-up the waterfall area for the summer season, we would like to add color with some bright, shade loving plants such as Coleus and Caladiums. If anyone would like to donate some of these plants, they would be appreciated. If you are interested in donating some plants contact Dewayne Clover or Pastor Keith – Thanks! PHASE ONE REVITALIZATION – We are on our last couple of months to make our goal of meeting our PHASE ONE expenses to revitalize our facilities. Let’s recommit ourselves to our pledges we made last June and prayerfully consider an additional gift to make certain our goal is met by June 6, 2010. I’m hopeful we can jump right into PHASE TWO of our Revitalization Plan this summer!!
