What follows is the last version of the original document, An Addendum to "Three in a Row", before a change in its conception. It is included because I believe it has some interest even though, ultimately, it seemed to baroque in conception.

Take out the center sphere (7) and the other spheres (1 to 6) can be collapsed into one of two triangular shapes so that any two spheres that are in contact in the original ring are also in contact after the collapse.

The colors, in each triangle, are arranged the same, but each is rotated by 180° with respect to the other.

The spheres on the corner of one triangle are the same spheres in the center of the other.
