Marketing Events:

1) Chalu Bazaar
The first Marketing Event in the Virtualities , Chalu Bazaar is the first
introduction to Marketing Students. Acting as an ice-breaker of sorts, with
mixed teams, Chalu Bazaar is known for the amount of innovation shown in
the type of products and the whacky means used to market them. Students on
campus are divided into teams, and are given barely 1 hours to design a
product and a campaign to sell it. Needless to say, with the creative juices
flowing and a charged campus atmosphere, Chalu Bazaar will be one of the
liveliest and most engaging events in Virtualities .
2) Adfreak
The ad making competition challenges the students of SIESCOMS to explore
alternate uses of product to reach out to new consumers. Teams propose
ideas that are not only out of the box but appeals to the intended target
groups. The ads
prove, given a chance students can even sell pacifiers in the real world.
3) MarkLead
MarkLead tests the participants' knowledge on multiple facets of
marketing.This event would take place in several rounds , each round
promises to be more challenging than the previous one and will ensure that it
tests the teams on their ability to think on their feet, apply their knowledge in
practical situations and most importantly, think out-of-the-box.
4) SIES IQ
A marketing quiz ...it promises to expand its horizon from Philip Kotler to Don
Draper, from the Ambani Brothers to the Bansal non-brothers. This Business
and Entertainment Quiz is sure to have something for everyone! Come and
feed your grey matter!
5)Vidheyak's Sparsh
Public policies in our country leave much to be desired , there is a gap in
policy formulation and execution too and we believe that we have the mettle
to bridge this gap and bring about the change. Vidheyak's Sparsh, the public
policy competition at Virtualities 2015, gives you a unique opportunity to come
and put forth your views on what India needs to do to put its public policy in
place Bring your thoughts to the table and compete to show your ability to
bring about "The Change". This event will test your understanding of key
public issues and evaluate your approaches in their resolution.

AD-SELFIE
We all love selfies, right?
What would be better than an event based on the selfies?
The basic theme of the event is to imagine as if you are a BRAND
AMBASSADOR, and you have to endorse the brand.
Participants need to post a selfie with the non advertised product
which is allotted to them and have to come up with a new tagline for
the product, the more the hype created higher are your chances for
qualifying for the next round. The event w
ill be judged on the creativity and how much buzz your product has
created.
Ad-Selfie will make you learn the basic tricks of Social Media
Marketing and will enhance your creative skills on how to create an
advertisement.
HR:
Corporate Roadies
Corporate Roadies is a collection of management games to test your business acumen,
skills, and knowledge.The game is designed to throw the worst at you to bring out the
best in you.
The participants need to show their caliber, the power of persuasion and the ability to
handle pressure. Preparing the participants yourself to withstand the harsh reality of
the corporate world.
Recruitment Based Strategy Game
Team of 4,
Two participants will be the college placement cell and the other two will be the
company recruiting for their vacant posts. The teams will be put through a whole lot
of negotiations where the placement cell of each college will have the onus of
securing a placement for all the students in their college with the best possible
remuneration and role whereas the company recruiting for their organization will have
to ensure that the package they offer is within the bounds of the budget (Eg - 1 crore)
and all the vacant posts are filled.
The overall score of a team will be calculated based on the difference of overall salary
package bagged by the placement cell for the students and the amount spent by the
company for recruitment. The team with the maximum score will be the winner.
P.S:- Initial Data will be given to both the sides
Employee Engagement/Motivation Based Strategy Game:
Team of 2/3.
They will be provided with different situations and will be required to formulate
employee engagement strategies & can also develop reward systems
Employee Retention Based Simulation Games
Different situations based on employee retention cases will be given to the teams. The
teams have to understand the employee needs and accordingly come up with their
strategies

Business Plan
The participants will have to create their own free website/video/poster on the product
or service which they desire.
In the subsequent rounds, The Participants will have to make Business Plan on their
product or service.
50 KA FUNDA/Price it right
50 ka Funda is a Stanford University developed exercise to introduce
entrepreneurship skills among students. This exercise ensures that the young
generation has the skills required to capitalize on today's opportunities. The game has
been adapted for students with simulated currency. The teams get Rs 50 as an initial
investment. The teams are expected to start a virtual company and come up with a
product or service with the initial investment that they can sell and make a profit on.
Devil Follows
Devil follows is an innovative management game which would give students a lesson
how to work in a team & create team building attitude amongst them. In this event, a
group of 4 students would have to do a task. Out of four members, three members
would be blind-folded and the last member cannot speak.
In a time frame of 5 minutes, the students have to collect all the material. Then they
have to make the product.
Rananiti
This event is for those people who have the right combination of managerial
competencies and analytical skills.This battle will give you an opportunity to redefine
the ordinary and explore your business caliber along the way.
