T: This is sushi. It is a rice ball wrapped


with roasted seaweed and topped with
any ingredients that you want. Next, do
you know this?

This is sashimi

This is takoyaki.

making sushi. We need utensils such as
a bowl, a plate, a bamboo sushi mat

to?

T: Well done. Now, let us see. How to
make sushi? First, you need to put on
the gloves. Then, shape the rice to long,
oval form. After that, put the seaweed
around the sushi. Lastly, put the nugget
on the rice ball and squeeze some
mayonnaise on them.
T: Have you heard the word first?
(teacher writes on the whiteboard)
T: Have you heard the words after that?
(teacher writes on the whiteboards)
T: Those are called sentence
connectors. What is that? (Teacher
points out the words)

T: Now, listen to my instruction. You
have to follow them step by step.
T: First, you need to put on the gloves.
(pause and observe students)
T: Then, shape the rice to long, oval
form. (Wait pupils to shape. Move
around to check)
T: After that, put the seaweed around
the sushi. (Teacher moves around to
assist students.)
T: Lastly, put the nugget on the rice ball
and squeeze some mayonnaise on
them.

to clean up their
work place.

T: Now, I want you to make your own


sushi in your group. I will give you other
ingredient so that you can make your
sushi as you please.
T: Please use the sentence connectors
that I have mentioned before.

T: Okay, group 1, may I know what is


inside your sushi?

Eat slowly. Dont talk while eating.
T: Have you finished eating? Now, lets
clean our table.
T: Pick up the rubbish and throw them
into the dustbin or black plastic bag
around you.
