players in a serpentine draft in the
reverse order of how they finished
in 2015. Earlier in the fall, each
manager had protected three players from their 2015 rosters.

FARMINGDALE, NY: The Long Island Generations Bowling Tour
will be hosting a 5-game handicap marathon at Farmingdale Lanes on
Super Bowl Sunday, February 7th at 1pm. Immediately following the
marathon all participants are invited to a Super Bowl party that will
include food, raffles, big screen TVs, and a special match play tournament.
Although this is an LIGBT event non-members are welcomed and will
not be required to pay a membership fee. All non-members will get 20
pins off their average when determining handicap.
The 5-game handicap marathon will feature guaranteed top prizes of
$1,000-$600-$400-$300 and an amazing 1 in 4 cashing ratio! The top 4
will advance to a 1 game shootout. A modified house shot will be put
down and a handicap of 90% of 220 will be used. The entry fee is only
$100 and includes the Super Bowl party. Non-participants are welcome
to stay for the party for only $25.

FAIR LAWN, NJ - One of the few bowlers to successfully handle Fair
Lawns oil pattern, 14-year-old Tom Chamberlain fashioned a session
best triple deuce 650 on games of 203-236-211 to lead Holiday II to a
hard-earned four points of seven against Boonton. Also faring well for
the victors was Ramsey junior Devin Crowley who finished strong with
192-216. Led by Andrew Donnellys 183, Boonton managed to take the
opener and held onto the wood point by a scant nine sticks thanks to
Peter Hos stellar third game 225.
Bowler City III wrested first place from Montvale by virtue of a more
consistent outing by its players, resulting in a three-game sweep, anchor
Nathan Tombo fired 223, Tiffany Sucero 193 and Gianni Calzadilla 192
led the way for the winners. Montvales best was Henry Tippings 203
and Joseph Mahoneys 195.
Fair Lawn moved into fourth place by taking five points from Bowler
City II as 14-year-old teammates Nick Greco and Hunter Perry paved
the road with 237-203 and 190 respectively. Leading the BC II squad
was 13-year-old Matt Ramos closing 179.
After dropping two close games, Bowler City I rode Dumont junior
Kyle Schellbergs 264 finish to overtake Holiday I and come away with
three points. Kyles huge game was the only deuce on the pair, teammate
JonMikal Sepero scratched out a 187 for the victors. Highs for Holiday
I were Jon Mormando and Lilly Sigona, each with a 190 while anchor
David Neil closed with 188.
Hi-Tor put together five deuces in taking two points from the vacancy.

one hundred thirteen boys and
sixty-seven girls entered in the
16th Annual North Jersey
Singles qualifying round, forty
boys and twenty-four girls managed to make the respective 559
and 487 three-game cutoff
scores, advancing them to the
pressure-filled
single-game
playoffs.
Receiving a bye into the boys
quarterfinals were Passaic Tech
senior IsiahTolbert with an
astounding 773, Montville junior Erik Kattermann 738,
Passaic Tech senior Anthony
Rizzo 708 and Ridgefield Park
sophomore Derek Lewandowski
697 who had a higher best game
than Indian Hills junior Jared
Duncan who also scored 697.
Girls who earned byes were
Hopatcong sophomore Rhianna
Smith 687, St Marys Alize

Woodhouse 609. As the top

qualifiers, Tolbert and Smith

earned a second bye into the
semi-finals.
In these heart-stopping singlegame playoffs, the advancement
cutoffs were remarkably high,
advancing to the boys quarterfinals were scores of 224+, to
the semis, 223+, for the girls,
194 to the quarters and an amazing 226 to the semis.
All four girls semi-finalists
fired deuces, Paramus Catholic
junior Kristen Kane smoked the
lanes with 268, Rhianna Smith
212, Raritans Hayley Connolly
205 and Hawthorne junior
Madison Perry 201.
In the girls championship
match, southpaw Smith fashioned a mid-game turkey to distance herself from Kane and
emerge the winner, 192-170.
The boys matchup featured
last years runner-up Tolbert
against reigning state individual
champion, Pompton Lakes junior Nick Cilento. The match was

magical, with each perfect

through seven frames, leaving
the spectators stunned at the
incredible talent to which they
were a witness. Cilento finished
with three spares and a strike fill
for 256, hoping for a chink in
southpaw Tolberts delivery.it

Tolberts first ever perfect game
had tenth frame drama, appearing to have left the six-pin on his
eleventh delivery, a fallen pin
rolled back, taking the six-pin
out just before the rack came
down.
His
nerve-wracked
twelfth shot crossed, temporarily showing the 5-7 before both
pins collapsed to the roaring
delight of everyone.
