STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE ON HOW TO GET LEGIT IN THE ONLINE

HOMEBAKESHOP BUSINESS
There are THREE big steps for this:
1) DTI
2) Mayor's Permit
3) BIR
1. Get DTI permit.
You have to choose with DTI if your business is just
a) Barangay (P200)
b) City/Municipality (P500)
c) Regional (P1,000)
d) National (P2,000)
Choosing National will give you room for expansion and allow you to conduct business in the
whole country. TOTAL AMOUNT: P2000 for 'National name' plus P150 for Documentary Stamp
Tax.
If you have an old name which you are re-registering ON TIME (before it expires, that is). If you
are delayed in re-registering, theres a penalty of about PhP1,000 (expired na ang name). If you
are registering a NEW name/business, you need to pick three namesfirst choice and 2 reserve
names in case may kapareha na yung first choice mo. Its possible that none of the names will be
approved, so maglista na kayo ng maraming alternative names.
Trivia: Trade name is different from Shop Name. Like, McDonald's is a Shop name pero Golden
Arches Incorporated ang Trade name nila na printed sa receipts etc. Register your shop name sa
Intellectual Property Office (ibang process naman yun) para walang ibang makagamit ng name
na yun.
2. Get a Cedula. TOTAL AMOUNT: P145
3. Get a Barangay Business Clearance and 4. Zoning Clearance. For me this was problematic
because I live in a private subdivision, and I needed muna a HOMEOWNERS CLEARANCE
If you are a homebaker and are renting, may iba pang permits for this, like lessor's permission,
etc. But if like me, you are a homeowner, i.e., nasa sarili mong pangalan ang property kung
nasaan ang business mo, ito yung kailangan mga sinubmit pa...
- Tax Declaration or copy of land title
- Occupational permit
- Sketch/blueprint or map of your vicinity, etc.

na bentahan, online lang ang business, and I bake at home but there is NO PHYSICAL STORE.
Nakakatuyo ng dugo. Gusto mo maging legit, pero daming humaharang! Sana di nyo maging
problema ito. Ending: I used a different address belonging to my friend. Ibang barangay at
location, panibagong usapan. 4. Get Zoning Clearance Matagal at pahirapan minsan ang
pagkuha. They will ask for a picture of your home bakeshop. i.e,. kusina mo. Depends on where
you are, they might physically check the kitchen.
Notary fees for waivers, etc. P200
Zoning Compliance Fee P1,200
5. Get Health Clearance/Permit. This is required for you personally, plus all your kitchen helpers
(kung declared mo sila).
a) Xray P300
b) Urinalysis P75
c) Health Card P50
6. Get Fire Clearance. P205
Just go to the Fire Station office and pay the fee. Depende nalang sa kanila if they will check
your business location or house if it is fireproof.
7. Get Business Permit from Mayor P2380
Once you have all the papers in hand and all the clearances, mabilis na tong Business Permit
plaka.
Working Permit Fee P150
Miscellaneous: P200 (gas, etc)
8. Next step is B.I.R!
Once you get the Mayors Permit to operate your online home bakeshop business, you need to
get legal with the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
Here were the requirements:
Your personal Tax Identification Number (If you have none pa, apply for this. May minimal
payment lang.)
Your birth certificate
Your marriage certificate (if any)

Childrens birth certificates (if any)

DTI permit
Mayors Permit
(2) copies of completed BIR 1901 form
(1) original and (2) xerox copies of BIR 605 payment form used to pay the P500 registration fee
-- BPI
If you have to change your RDO (before kasi I was working professional in Makati, now I am
homebased baker in Paranaque), so I needed to change my RDO from Makati to Paranaque. BIR
1905 form ang gagamitin dito.
BIR 1905 ulit, but for receipts naman
Ledgers, Books P150 ( You can buy this from BIR na rin.)
Accredited Receipts from BIR P1,200 (May printers na accredited sa kanila)
Miscellaneous P50 for all Xeroxing
P600 ++ for gas from all the pabalik balik
Technically, registering the Trade Name to getting Official Receipts, including all waiting, will
take about ONE MONTH. Di pa kasama diyan yung delays ko to change address and redo the
barangay permit and zoning clearance.
TOTAL AMOUNT spent: P10,000 more or less
Why go legal? Because even when the Philippine system is faulty at bestand really, REALLY,
REALLY corrupt at worst... it is still the RIGHT thing to do
Let's go legit this 2015!
