Lord from this time forth and forevermore!

setting, the name of the Lord be praised!
Unison: The Lord is high above all
nations, and His glory above the

Prayer Of Adoration
Songs Of Praise & Worship
“Blessed Be Your Name”
Blessed be Your name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be your name
When I’m found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed be Your name
Every blessing You pour out
I’ll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in
Lord still I will say
chorus
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be Your name
When the sun’s shining down on me
When the world’s all as it should be
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there’s pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

Come praise and glorify our God
For we’ve believed the Word
And through our faith we have a seal
The Spirit of the Lord
The Spirit guarantees our hope
Until redemption’s done
Until we join in endless praise
To God, the Three in One
(repeat chorus)

God Graciously
Renews Us In
Christ

Every blessing You pour out
I’ll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in
Lord still I will say

Call To Repentance &
Renewal

(repeat chorus)

Leader: God spoke His holy Law to our
forefathers saying, I am the Lord your
God, who brought you out of the land of
Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

bridge
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord blessed be Your name
(repeat chorus)
“Come Praise and Glorify”
Come praise and glorify our God
The Father of our Lord
In Christ He has in heavenly realms
His blessings on us poured
For pure and blameless in His sight
He destined us to be
And now we’ve been adopted through
His Son eternally
chorus
To the praise of Your glory
To the praise of Your mercy and grace
To the praise of Your glory
You are the God who saves
Come praise and glorify our God
Who gives His grace in Christ
In Him our sins are washed away
Redeemed through sacrifice
In Him God has made known to us
The myst’ry of His will
That Christ should be the head of all
His purpose to fulfill
(repeat chorus)

~ based on Exodus 20 ~

You shall have no other gods before Me.
You shall not make for yourself any
carved image, or any likeness of
anything…. You shall not bow down to
them or serve them.
You shall not take the name of the Lord
your God in vain, for the Lord will not
hold him guiltless who takes His name in
vain.
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it
holy.
Honour your father and mother.
You shall not murder.
You shall not commit adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against
your neighbour.
You shall not covet…anything that is
your neighbour’s.

Prayer Of Confession
~ Silent Confession & Reflection ~

The Words Of The Gospel

Know that God “saved us and called us to
a holy calling, not because of our works
but because of his own purpose and
grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus
before the ages began, and which now
has been manifested through the appearing of our Saviour, Christ Jesus, who
abolished death and brought life and
immortality to light through the gospel.”

Song Of Response
“Because of Your Love”
Jesus, You endured my pain
Saviour, You bore all my shame
All because of Your love
Maker of the universe
Broken for the sins of the earth
All because of Your love
All because of Your love
chorus
Because of Your cross
My debt is paid
Because of Your blood
My sins are washed away
Now all of my life I freely give
Because of Your love
Because of Your love I live
Innocent and holy king
Died to set the captives free
All because of Your love
Lord You gave Your life for me
So I will live my life for You
All because of Your love
All because of Your love
(repeat chorus)
bridge
You did it for me
You did it for love
It’s Your victory
Jesus, You are enough
(repeat)
(repeat chorus)

Unison: “Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come,
Your will be done, on earth as it is in
heaven.
“Give us this day our daily bread, and
forgive us our debts as we also have
forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
For the kingdom, the power, and the
glory are yours, now and forever. Amen.

Presentation Of Our Tithes
& Offerings
Song Of Preparation
“Immortal, Invisible”
Immortal, invisible, God only wise
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes
Most blessed, most glorious
The Ancient of Days
Almighty, victorious
Thy great name we praise
Unresting, unhasting and silent as light
Nor wanting, nor wasting
Thou rulest in might
Thy justice like mountains
High soaring above
Thy clouds which are fountains
Of goodness and love
Great Father of glory
Pure Father of light
Thine angels adore Thee
All veiling their sight
All praise we would render
O help us to see
‘Tis only the splendour
Of light hideth Thee

“Faithfulness & Fruitfulness”

“I Will Rise”

Luke 12:41-48

There's a peace I've come to know

Though my heart and flesh may fail

There's an anchor for my soul

I can say "It is well"

Pastor John Ferguson

Jesus has overcome

And the grave is overwhelmed

The victory is won

He is risen from the dead

chorus

And I will rise when He calls my name

No more sorrow, no more pain

I will rise on eagles' wings

Before my God fall on my knees

And rise, I will rise

There's a day that's drawing near

When this darkness breaks to light

And the shadows disappear

And my faith shall be my eyes

Jesus has overcome

And the grave is overwhelmed

The victory is won

He is risen from the dead

(repeat chorus)

bridge

And I hear the voice
Of many angels sing,

"Worthy is the Lamb"

And I hear the cry
Of every longing heart,

"Worthy is the Lamb"

(repeat)

Our Confession Of Faith
~ Psalm 23 ~
Leader: Let us confess our trust and
confidence in Christ, our God and Good
Shepherd.
Unison: The Lord is my Shepherd; I
shall not be in want. He makes me lie
down in green pastures. He leads me
beside still waters. He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for His name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death I will fear no
evil, for you are with me; Your rod and
Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the
presence of my enemies; You anoint my
head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely
goodness and mercy shall follow me all
the days of my life, and I shall dwell in
the house of the Lord forever.

himself, and God our Father, who loved
us and gave us eternal comfort and good
hope through grace, comfort your hearts
and establish them in every good work
and word.”

Save the Date: Ash Wednesday Service on February 10th, 7-8pm

We will mark the beginning of Lent with a special service on Ash Wednesday. The
threefold aim of Lent: (1) to reflect on our mortality and need for a Saviour; (2) to
renew our commitment to daily repentance in all of life; and (3) to remember with
confidence and gratitude that Jesus Christ conquered sin and death. Make plans to
join our community of faith in this journey towards celebration of Easter.

Upcoming Series for Lent

The season of Lent (“spring”) is a time set aside by Christians everywhere to prepare
for the celebration of Easter. Lent covers the six Sundays leading up to Easter and it
is usually a time for deeper reflection on why Jesus came to die for our sins. Lent
kicks off on Ash Wednesday (Feb 10th), and the first Sunday of Lent is Feb 14th.
During our Sunday mornings together, we will go through a series of studies
called, “Licensed to Kill,” which is a look at on what it means to live more
intentionally for Christ by actively putting sin to death in our lives. On Sunday
evenings, we’ll join together for a DVD series & discussion based on the book,
“God’s at War: Defeating the Idols that Battle for Your Heart” by Kyle Idleman.

Relationship Seminars: February 10th & 11th

By God’s grace, Gary Thomas is changing the way Christians look at their faith and
family life. He is the author of: Sacred Marriage, Sacred Parenting, Sacred Pathways

classics into our modern lives. Marriage seminar on the 10th; Singles talk on the
11th - both at 7:30pm. For info & tickets visit: www.funandfaith.ca/garythomas.
