Hello everyone,

Here is something new from me:

I am now "Certfied Laughter Leader"(CLL) and going to start a new career

or activity with this.

Let me tell you the story:

The laughing workshop was on 1st & 2nd Dec.2001 at concourse hotel,Columbus,Ohio.
It was such a great experience to attend a workshop for being
a CLL. There were more than 50 people in a hotel. The best thing was...I was the
only indian guy
in those 50 people and all of them(americans) gave me a great great respect. After
coming to USA,
first time I really felt a great proud about being an Indian..........Gujarati
ma....
Gadagadit thai gayo.....You know why?
Because, the laughing club technique is invented by indian doctor - Dr. Madan
Kataria in bombay.

In beginning of the session, steve introduced me and I told everyone that I was a
founder member
of laughing club in Ahmedabad, India(and funny part was that they understood and
took "India"
part only, so they all were soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much impressed about me. I
was the only
indian guy representing India at that time. I told that some of the techniques I
knew since last
5 years, and they all were so amazed at me. It was really really an amazing and
fantasic
experience for me. People were trying to come and talk to me. Some of them
understood that
I came specially from India to attend a workshop and see how American laughing
club
works. It was really a terrific experience for me.

I went to Columbus, Ohio on saturday Dec.1 morning. It was a 6 hour drive form
chicago to
columbus. I was all the way alone and except my parents none of my friends had a
clue that I am
going for this.(Generally all my closed friends know what my daily or week-end
activities are!!)
I left them keep guessing!!!!!!!!!!Some of them assumed that I went to columbus
for meeting a
girl for a marriage!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The workshop time was 5-30 evening on saturday. I was the first participant to
reach there in a
workshop. They gave a workshop book and some goodies to make fun.(apnu "pipudu"
apyu!!!!)
Then there was an introduction and etc.. Then a real laughing session started.

Another best thing: When first laughing session started, I was invited(by our
workshop teacher
and a great laughter leader Steve Wilson, who brought laughing club concept to USA)
to demonstrate
some deep breathing to all people. It was really great that I was showing american
people
how to take deep breath.

At 9-00 pm. the session for saturday ended. After that there was an ice-cream and
cake party.
They started music and I started to dance(its my characteristic that, whenever I
listen
some good music, I dance. It comes automatically in me, and you know what? I am
always a first
starter to dance!!!)and 3-4 people were again so amazed that I am very good
dancer, no fear
to dance and have a great flexible body(by the way, I can stretch my legs in
opposite
direction in a full length!!!).

I stayed in a motel near the hotel where the workshop was. I came to motel at
around 9-30.
And as usual, we friends talked a lot(I, kalpit and kaushal had a conference).
They made lots of guesses about my being in a columbus...but nobody had a clue for
that...
I can go columbus for being a CLL.

Next sunday, the workshop started at 8-00 in morning. I woke up at 5-30 morning
and read all
material related to laughing club, its techniques, leadership skills etc.

The sunday workshop time was from 8-00 morning to 3-30 noon. We learnt so many new
styles of
laughter, philosophy behind laughter, Steve's history and so many things...played
a game..
practiced as a laughing leader and discussed so many aspects of starting a
laughing
club and making money out of it.I realized that most of them wanna make thousands
of
$$$$$ out of this activity. People were very aggressive about it. While writing
this, I
am the only "Certified Laughter Leader" in chicago. Some people told me that you
have
a big market to earn and great territory to win!!!!!!!!!!

At the end, I introduced and gave my innovative laughter, which is called "crying
laughter".
Many of my friends know this laughter, which I used to perform sometime in a
public.
I got so many appreciation for this laughter and all my contribution
to laughter workshop. Many people were also told me that, I had so much energy and
enthusiasm while laughing, breathing and practicing its techniques.

I am so much thankful to Steve Wilson and all participants of a workshop. It was

an amazing
experience to be with them and learning so many new things about laughter, humour
and
leadership skills.

Let me tell you the story and my background towards becoming a "Certified Laughter
Leader"....

I was first introduced to laughing club in my native place Ahmedabad,India around

5-6 years back.
It was started in "Parimal" garden. We were the first participants there, so I can
say that I was a founder member of laughing club when it started in
Ahmedabad,India. So, I knew
some of the techniques of it.

I remembered that while going for a Nepal trip, I gave an introduction of laughing
club to people
,who were with us in a trip....and all of them had so much fun with that.

Since my childhood, I think I am very funny and enthusiastic person. I always try
to experience
new things. As I always said.....I don't want happy life(I am happy already!!!), I
want
colorful life. I always add some color to my life. Let me tell you how? I meet new
people. I try different things. I go to new places. I read new things. I surf
internet
and amaze myself about the vast information
available to us.(I am surfing internet since almost
6 years, but still I find new things from net. Many of my friends recognized my
expertise
in surfing and searching information).I listen new music.....And, I do many many
new things.

I guess, since last many years I have a somewhat different style of laughing which
is natural
for me, but not for all. And, this make some people laugh with me without any
reason.

Since my shool life, I was an actor. I did professional level drama in my college
life and
directed a drama also. After coming to USA, I lost my stage and audience. For a
stage
artist, its a feeling of emptiness. After coming to USA, one of my first roommates
gave me a new name called "Hasamukh"(who laugh a lot!!!!!) because of my laughing
habits.
I stayed with them for 1 year and then I got new room parners. They also had so
much fun
with me. They also suggested me to start a laughing club in my univ.- Utah State
univ. But, I was busy with study, doing my Masters in computer engg. etc. But, I
always
felt something missing about a stage and audience.

After completing my Masters, I moved to chicago in search for a job and to live
with some of
my old school and college friends who are still doing their Masters at IIT near
chicago
downtown. Now I am going to live and stay here for atleast 9 months from now.
(Today's date is:3rd Dec. 2001)

So, that's the story from me........Keep laughing whatever it may come to your
way.......
