Every class starts quietly During theory please do not interrupt teacher Once theory/presentation is over students may talk quietly If you miss a class you are responsible to catch up If you miss a test you will need to see the teacher to arrange to sit the test. You have one week to do this only. You are responsible to bring all your equipment to class If you lose a handout sheet or are away, check http://lessonworks.googlepages.com where you can obtain the latest handouts and work!
What happens when....?
You are late to class? You have forgotten your equipment, pens, calculator, and books? You have difficulties understanding the work? Someone makes you angry in class? You have not done your homework? You do not hand in on time an assignment or project? You do not pass a test?
Simple Answers If you arrive more than twice in a week late to class without a good reason you will be spoken to Make sure before you come to class you have a pen and some paper to write on
Make arrangements to see the teacher after the theory session or during lunchtime Immediately tell the teacher. Do not try to handle it by yourself If you are caught not keeping up you will be asked to stay back on lunchtime or assigned to the tutors You can ask for an extension if you have a good reason otherwise you will lose marks. After 2 weeks you will receive a N for the work You can make arrangements to redo the test so you can pass it.
What equipment is expected for class?
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Your exercise book Your pencil case- which should have a few pens and pencils in it Your scientific calculator /graphics calculator A small ruler or a math-o-mate Your organiser A novel or some other work in case you finish or teacher is away.
What happens if you cause difficulties during class time? What happens then? 1. You will be given one warning; hopefully, one will be enough for you to stop what you are doing. 2. Then you will be warned again about your poor learning behaviour. You might then be issued with a demerit point for your poor learning behaviour 3. If you do not change your behaviour you will be asked either to move or sit by yourself or you will be asked to stay back and make up for the time lost. 4. Worst case scenario, you will be exited to the Principal if the poor learning behaviour continues once you have been moved.
