Concrete Sleeper
Heavy weight concrete structure used for crossing of pipeline
in congested areas where minimum separation against existing
lines shall be maintain. Dimensions are normally in accordance
to Client request.
Drop Bags
Single 1 - 2 tons units containing sand-cement mixture pre-filled
bags, to be utilized for riser and pipe supports where grout bags
cannot be placed.
The main bag comes with a bottom funnel to direct the drop of
single bags, after cutting the retaining slings. Operability by diver
or ROV.
Bridges
Additional solution could be with bridges for crossing new with
existing pipelines.
Dimensions will be according on the specific requirements of
the customer.

SOLUTIONS
Protection to underwater equipment has been always a target

for designer, to prevent damages from dropping objects and
marine activity to valve, piping or wellhead.
OPEC engineering department is at customer service to evaluate
customized solution for protection of underwater equipment in
any particular situation.
Protection can be applied by means of concrete or steel structures,
with calculated impact resistance and considering the bearing
capacity of the sea-bottom
Offshore Installations
OPEC, with more than 30 years of experience in offshore
installation, can address the customer to tailored solutions.
Assistance for installation design and specific requirements can
be supplied by OPEC trough in-house and outsourcing support.
Fishing Protection
Protection against fishing activity is applied by anti-trawled
concrete blocks with steel blades on top, designed to act against
the fishing nets and avoid any damage to the pipeline.
All protective items are design and produced following the custom
request.

FLEXIBLE LINES
PULLING
OPEC can apply for Shore or Offshore Pulling for Flexible Lines.
Preparation
OPEC will coordinate the preparation of the shore site in due
date to avoid standing by of vessel.
Pre-trench and pull-in line can be prepared according to customer
specification.
Pulling Operation
Pulling operation can be applied from either from onshore or
offshore.
OPEC pulling equipment consists in a hydraulic winch with steel
cable, allowing us to safely operate with any kind of flexible line
or light pipeline.
Close communication between the 2 team will be always
maintained to coordinate safely and effectively the activity.
Pulling can be also applied from platform.

FREE SPAN
CORRECTION
The free span correction for any size of pipeline is applied by

means of empty heavy duty resistant bag made by Synthetic
Fiber, installed under the pipelineand filled with grout by our
dedicated equipment and

Dimension will be accurately evaluated according to the supported
pipe, the bearing capacity of the soil the scouring depth and any
other customer request.
Soil bearing capacity

The bags can be utilized in soil condition ranging from 5 kPa to

Tissue
Our bags are made by woven polyester fabric with reinforced
bottom to prevent abrasion from the soil.Vents and Injection
points are carefully positioned to easy filling. Center line is
marked to help diver or ROV operator to position the bag.
Filling Material
Grouting mixture has to be made from Sulfate Resisting neat
cement with ratio C/W up to1 :0.5.
Installation
OPEC Grout bags can be installed either by diver or by ROV
providing specific arrangement on the bag upon request from
the Installation Contractor.

SERVICES
OPEC is able to provide you different type of activity of grouting,

onshore and offshore. Our specialized team is handling operation
such as Free Span Correction or Jacket legs professionally and
effectively.
Equipment
OPEC grouting equipment is perfectly suitable for all grouting
activities, providing a variety of different possibilities. All our
equipment is complying with offshore standards and can be
provided with any additional third party certification the customer
may require.
Quality
Opec can provide a portable quality test lab with all facilities to
conduct cement compressive strength tests, density
measurements and all required quality checks may be required
during and after the completion of the job.

OPEC is provided by its own in-house and mobile laboratory,

for testing of cement and bitumen.
Mobile Laboratory
During offshore operation can be mobilized to be able to conduct
all the required quality checks on the cement during grouting
operations.

SEALINE
PROTECTION
OPEC solution for offshore pipelines and cable protection and

anchorage is the application of bituminous single or double
layer mattresses.
The specific composition made by bituminous mastic provides
tested and guarantied impact resistance against dropped objects.
The mattresses will remain flexible lifetime adjusting its shape
to any seabed change.
Our mattresses are provided with lifting loops to match with
optional installation frame and are installable by diver or ROV.

SHORE APPROACH
& PROTECTION
Always the Shore Protection has been a difficult issue, combining

costs and timing for their execution in conjunction to barges
mobilizations.
OPEC proposes a protection of flexible or small rigid lines will
be applied in water by means of customized grout bags, having
a significant impact in cost reduction.
With OPEC solution there is no more need of barges or vessel
mobilization for mattresses installation or trenching operations,
especially at shore side where water depth doesnt allow any
draft.
Grouting and diving operations will be managed from shore by

OPEC.
Differently from other solutions, installation of the bags will be

minimally affected by wheatear conditions.
As final result the pipe will be protected by a thick layer of

concrete covering the installation and preventing any damage
lifetime.

Concrete Mattresses STABIMAT

Concrete multi-block mattress type Stabimat for offshore pipeline
stabilization and anchorage.
Mattresses can be cast in several dimension and density to
reach the requested target (S.G. 2.4 to 3.6 T/m 3 ).
