Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIMI) is pleased to announce the eighth edition of Faculty
Development Programme (FDP) 2016. FDP aims at professional development of management
teachers, researchers, and practitioners. The major focus of FDP is on upgrading the research and
teaching skills of participants.
FDP is designed as a specialized programme for career development of various management faculties.
The programme enables the participants to develop competence in understanding recent advances in
management research, to learn to improve pedagogies and to better presentation skill to become an
effective management faculty. The programme is managed by a mix of faculty from IIMI as well as
guest faculty from industry and other institutions for an intensive exposure to research, teaching and
developing cases.

TARGET AUDIENCE
A potential participant would be management teacher, trainer, researcher employed in management
schools, university departments, degree colleges, professional institutes, training centers of business
enterprises, staff training institutes of central and state governments. The programme is especially
helpful for participants, who teach management and allied subjects like commerce, human resource
and labor relations, organizational behavior, marketing, statistics, operations, economics, banking,
finance, computer applications, strategy, sociology etc.

PROGRAMME DESIGN
The primary thrust of the 5-week programme will be to equip the participants with contemporary
research and teaching skills. Emphasis will also be given to understanding of philosophy of
management, design and development of learning resources and so on. The course would contain
following modules:
Module 1: Case and Teaching Skill Development

Module 3: Research Skill Development

Module 2: Research Methodology

Module 4: Perspectives on Management

Suggested readings for each module would be provided before commencement of the programme.
Participants would also attend the ‘7th International Conference on Excellence in Research and
Education’ (CERE 2016) organised by IIM Indore during May 5-8, 2016.

PROGRAMME FEE
The fee is Rs. 40,000/- (Rupees forty thousand only) plus Service Tax as applicable. At present the
tax rate is 14.5 per cent. Total fee including tax is Rs. 45,800/- (Rupees forty thousand eight
hundred only). The programme fee includes tuition fee, cost of course material, access to library
