BANGKOK – KANCHANABURI (-/L/D

)

DAY 1 Early morning pick up at your hotel in Bangkok and departure to Damnoen Saduak floating market. This most
interesting excursion brings you to the rural floating market of Damnoen Saduak, situated 110 kilometers west of
Bangkok. Continue to Kanchanaburi
Visits will be dedicated to the history of the “Death Railway”, built by prisoners of war during World War II. We visit the
Thailand-Burma Railway Centre, an interactive museum, information and research facility dedicated to presenting the
history of the Thailand-Burma Railway. The fully air-conditioned center offers an educational and moving experience.
Then board the local train for an exciting ride on the “Death Railway”. After lunch at a local restaurant, we continue to
the Hellfire Pass Memorial Museum, which is co-sponsored by the Australian and Thai governments. Superb interactive
displays tell the story of the construction of the railway cutting through the pass. Visitors can walk down the valley and
see the actual cutting of Hellfire Pass. Although the tracks have long since disappeared, the route of the cutting can be
clearly seen. We then drive to the Resotel pier and take a long-tail boat to your resort, located on the Kwai River. Din-
ner and overnight at the RIVER KWAI at JUNGLE RAFTS.

KANCHANABURI - AYUTHAYA (B/L/D)

DAY 2 Breakfast at the resort. Boat transfer to Resotel pier, and then continue by van to Wat Pa Luangta Bua Yanna-
sampanno Forest Monastery, better known as the Tiger Temple. Since its opening in 1994, the monastery gained a
reputation as a wildlife sanctuary and by now a countless number of boar, deer, buffaloes, cows, horses, wild goat and
gibbons roam around freely. The first tiger cub arrived to the monastery in February 1999 and more followed soon
after. One zone of the existing valley is used as a place where tigers are being led for exercise in the afternoon. Visitors
are allowed to walk down this valley and observe the tigers roaming freely and closely and can take photographs of
them. Lunch at local restaurant.
Continue to Ayuthaya on the way visit Wat Pa Lelai (Samchook Market), arrival Ayuthaya check in at hotel U-Thong
Inn, dinner and overnight at U-Thong Inn hotel.

AYUTHAYA - BANGKOK (B/L/-)

Day 3 Breakfast at the hotel, visit Wat Sri Sanphet, Vihara Phra Mongkol Bophit and Wat Chai Wattanaram.
Continue to Bang Pa-In, the former Summer Palace of King Rama V.
At 13:00 hrs board the Grand Pearl cruiser near Bangsai and enjoy the western & oriental buffet lunch on board, while
cruising down the Chao Phraya River towards Bangkok. Coffee and tea are available free of charge later in the after-
noon. Disembark at River City pier at 16:30 hours.

Not included are other meals than mentioned in the program, surcharges for compulsory
gala dinners, optional tours, expenditures of a personal nature (drinks, phone calls, mini bar
consumptions, laundry etc.), transfers to/from Bangkok airports. If your clients prefer to re-
turn to Bangkok by flight, domestic air-tickets will be issued by Dits Travel (2001) and
charged for separately.
