When Martial Law was declared by the deposed Pres. Ferdinand E.
Marcos, it was that barangays has been created.
Barangay 1 is located at the northwest coast of Bacolod City. Barangay
Banago bound
it on the north on the northeast by the barangay
Mandalagan, on the east by the barangay 5, on the southeast by the
barangay 4, on the south by barangay 3, on the southwest by the barangay
2 in the west by the Guimaras Strait.
Barangay 3 is an urban community locates in the heart of the City of
Bacolod with a total land area of 14,668 hectares and a population of 4, 980
people. The brand name is WATER RANCH because the barangay catches
water from the areas during rainy season, settle in the community as it is
known as a catch basin. During the early years the barangay is a ranch
(cuadra) because of the abundance of cogon like grasses to feed the horses.
There are swampy areas in the barangay and serves as a source of livelihood
for they used it as a fish pond.
The boundary landmarks are Andres Bonifacio Elementary School along

created in 1973, under Ordinance No. P.D. 86-86-A. Modified on December
17, 1985 under City Ordinance No. 08, approving and adopting the
Recommended Delineation of Boundaries of Sixty One (61) Urban and Rural
Barangay 5 is located within the City Radius. It is bounded by Lacson
Street on the West, Mandalagan Bridge on the North along Riverside River on
the Northeast and East side, La Salle Avenue on the Southeast and 17th
