AbstrakAbstract
BackgorundBackground:Introduction.The prevalence of Mentalmental health illness has is growning
so fast. Today, there is 14% ofthe evidence of people in the world suffering mental health illness and in
the world and Indonesia are 14% and1.7% in Indonesia is also suffering this disorderrespectively. Beside
more thanIn addition, 75% people who suffer from mental health disorder have is considered come
fromlow income in their family background. It means that people who suffer froms mental health
disorders does not have any fee to paysufficient fund forthe hospital fee. So, some of them are cared by
their family without health care intervention. Every people who suffers mental health has right to get
caring both professional health care and social, including family and society. But, sometimes people give
stigma or label to the person who suffer mental health. In Indonesia, the people who suffer from mental
health disorders commonly have been labelled are asdangerous, not morally, or unwanted. It is made
people with mental disorders being uncomfortable and distress. This condition is not good enoughfor
them. It is because the people with mental disorders get more depressed than before. Because of these
reasons, education is needed to reduce this stigma and the people who suffer mental illness have right to
do their activities.
GoalAims:. To know investigatethe impacts of how online education oncan reducinge the negative stigma
of people who suffer from mental illness.
Method. This paper is presented applying ausing literature review approach. The journal isarticles used
was taken from some databases resource such as Ebsco Host, Pub Med, Google Scholar, and Science
Direct. The articles papers begiretrieved are fromn 2009The author analysis the factors how internet could
influence for reducing stigma of mental disorders. until 2015.
Result. Education is one of the way to reduce the stigma of mental health illness. Online education both
website and social media is effective to reduce the stigma of the people with mental illness . These is an
effective ways to reduce the stigma. These papers said that online education is effective to reduce the
stigma of mental health disorders. It is becauseThe factors that internet is effectively for reducing the
stigma of mental disorders are the internet is one of thea tool where the people can meet face to face over
the world. Next, Thethe internet isalso a tool whichgive many benefit to is shared the motivation between
for the people who suffer mental illness and their families. Besides that, internet is also a tool to hold
opinion and ideawhich is shared by people to learn each other. Beside internet can share fast around the
people, the contents of the website also give many information.Not only that factors, if we see from
economical factor, internet has many benefit. Today, people could find internet where they are. Besides
that, many Indonesiantelephone providers give easiness internet program and the price is quite cheap.
ButHowever, today in Indonesia, there is still limited research and online education program about
benefit of online education for reducing stigma.for reducing stigma of mental disorders.
Conclusion. Online education is an effective way approach to reduce the stigma for people who suffer
from mental illness. However, there is still limited research about the internet and reducing stigma. In
Indonesia as specially, because of the limited resource, the improving of this method is also slowly.Today,

it is limited online education program for reducing stigma of mental disorders. Because of that, I suggest
the government has collaborationwith a clinical health care, health academic institutions, non-government
organizations, and society to improve the online education program for reducing this stigma.
