PERSONAL CARE KITS
The very simple gesture of giving a Personal
Care Kit can give someone the nudge to start
anew, starting with a bath. You can share
God’s grace and love by providing that simple
comfort.

What to Include:
 One light-weight bath-size towel
(between 20"×40" & 52"×27"), dark color
recommended
 Two or three bath-size bars of soap
equaling up to 8-9 oz, any brand, in
original wrapping
 One adult-size toothbrush in its original
packaging*
 One sturdy comb, remove packaging
 One metal nail clippers (attached file
optional), remove packaging
Wrap all the items in the towel and tie securely
with ribbons or yarn. For additional
information, please stop by the washtub in the
west hallway.
Please stop by the washtub in the west
hallway for additional information and a
“shopping list” for your purchases!

Sign up now for summer camp @ Carol
Joy Holling Camp in Ashland, NE. For
more information, grab a flyer in the west
hallway.
“Throughout the week at camp, we will
learn what it looks like to be a follower of
Jesus. In a world telling us that we need
the biggest and the best to succeed, and
that only the strong will prevail – Jesus
shows us a completely different way of
living.”

Today is the last
day to make
your reservation
for Wednesday’s
Passover Meal.
Beginning promptly
at 5:30 pm, this meal celebrates the
freedom of the Jews from Egypt. This
traditional meal will include tastes of
lamb, unleaven bread, bitter herbs, and
haroses (chopped apples, nuts & wine).
Along with the samples of the traditional
foods of the seder meal, we will be
serving a full meal of turkey, green
beans, boiled barley, dates, figs, and
oranges. There will be a charge of $5
per person to offset the cost of the
groceries. Join us for this educational
meal celebration!

BENEFACTION BOARD MINUTES
Benefaction Board members President Carol
Waggoner, Treasurer Troy Strom, Lon
Timperley, Jim Mertz, Laurel Moore, Cindy
Nelson, Ron Lofgren, and Pastor David met on
Tuesday, February 9, 2016.
An application for funding was received from:
SMILE by Patty Prauner. This is the 25th year
of SMILE. The committee voted to give
$6,000 for her to continue her work with the
horses and the riders. Brett Simonsen
attended and submitted a request for funding
for the Christian Cross Festival 2016. Recent
improvements are that they have a larger
ministry tent and a larger tent for the Coffee
House. Additional information was requested
and at a special meeting the board approved
$5,000 to Brett with an additional $1,000 after
the support of an additional $5,000 from other
churches in the advertising area along with an
additional $500 over the $10,000 amount.
Dan Goeken from Insight Financials reviewed
the current Fund Statements. The next
regularly schedule meeting is May 10, 2016, at
7 PM.

A BIG thank you to Bernita Ebel for turning a
storage closet into a “Helpful Hygiene Hut” for
Campus Ministry. Bernita, Bernita – she’s our
plan. If she can’t do it, nobody can!!
