QC RESPONSIBILITIES:
All relevant codes and/or specifications are applied at Project and only current
documents are in use.
All inspection & tests are carried out as per ITPs, WPS/PQR, Method
Statements and Procedures for different activities and disciplines.
All repairs and correction of work shall be done by approved client method.
Liaison with third (3rd) party inspection agency for assuring/witnessing the
inspections and test activities.
Carry out inspection of materials/equipment received and prepares material
inspection reports.
Ensure handling, storage and maintenance of equipment and materials (in their
care, custody and control) in accordance with manufacturers suggested
procedures and relevant specifications.
Record all the inspections on project-approved formats to get these verified by
parties involved for the completed work scope. Ensure that copies are retained
and well kept.
Compile all quality records and prepare QC dossiers on completion of works and
final handover to client.

PIPING INSPECTION:

Checking for Isometric Drawing as to size, rating and material.

Prepare pipe spooling on isometric drawings by identifying shop fabrication and

field installation. Follow-up by preparing weld registration control sheets of

these spool drawings for quality control NDE records.
Check Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) & Procedure Qualification Record
(PQR).
Witness of Welder Qualification Test (WQT) according to ASME IX.
Monitoring and control of heat input through control of amperage & volts during
welding to avoid overheating.
Pneumatic test of full assembly (fitting & hot tap valves, drilling machine & Test
pack follow-up) inspection after welding
Inspection of Piping fabrication and erection according to clients specification
and Code B31.1, B31.3.
Responsible for the inspection of Pre- and Post-welding.
Control of welding material (Electrode, Filler Wire) backing of Low Hydrogen
Electrode.
Monitor welder performance and welding activities to ensure work is being
carried out in accordance with the approved welding procedure.
Visual inspection of welding.
Execute all NDT (PT, RT, and MT).
Witness water flushing, air blowing, pigging, steam blowing, hot bolting,
tightness test and conduct final line checks for final installation of piping
members including pump alignments to piping prior to mechanical completion of
the project.
Conducting piping line checking and preparation of punch list based on
engineering point of view. (e.i. considering the type of pipe supports based on
stress analysis calculation for high temperature lines. Also take into
consideration the access and operability of each piping components to meet
clients standards and requirements).
To Carry out Line punching during the Test pack internal review and assistance
for the reports preparation.
Witness of Hydro test, Leak test, Pneumatic test, Flushing/Air Blowing and
Reinstatement of Pipe line.
Preparation of Packages for commissioning.

PLANT INSPECTION:

The coordination of inspection during shutdown activities on Boilers, pressure

vessels, Heat exchangers, columns, furnaces, coolers, Heaters, Filters, Valves,
Sea Water Pumps and process piping.
Assigned to mechanical works involving equipments internal inspections of
trays, distributor pipings, manways closing and final piping/equipment manholes
box-up prior to system tightness test.
Develop and implement repair strategies to maintain pressure equipment in safe
and serviceable operational condition
A review of inspection results to analysis inspection findings and identify
potential integrity issues and raise additional emergent work and to report any
remedial actions.
Witness of the Pressure Testing of Equipments, Exchangers.
Preparing the checklists for internal inspection of all fired heaters, vessels,
columns, tanks, reactors, etc.,
Planning and execution of the repair works.
Responsible for all QA/QC plant matters relating to release of materials
authorized on site, welding procedures, welder qualifications and review of
consumables controls.
