COURSE DESCRIPTION :
This is a three- unit course that deals with nursing theories, concepts, framework, and models for nursing.
It examines the theoretical models to the understanding of nursing and their relevance to advance nursing practice.
It also applies theory and gives concentration on real problems encountered in the health care system using case
analysis and quality improvement models, decision making and problem solving frameworks. Students will initiate
therapeutic interventions that emanate from the nursing theories, and likewise examine the roles, scope, and
framework of nursing practice.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE

:
At the end of the course, the graduate student will be able to acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes in the
application of theory in nursing care planning and theory development.
