T

hese are two paragraphs about my side of a tragic
story. I was at a swim-a-thon with my “friend” and
we went under the bleachers to get her shirt that
she had thrown through the hole in the bleachers. As
we were looking for her shirt, I found a cute little toy
penguin. At the time I did not know that it would be
dead the following week. It was a cute little toy penguin.

But, I put it in my swim bag. We found my friend’s shirt
and we left.
ONE WEEK LATER…

W

e (my friend and I) were at the same pool we
were at the past week waiting for swim practice
to start. I took my penguin out of my swim bag
and showed it to my friend saying that it had lived in my
swim bag for a week. Then, out of nowhere she grabbed
my penguin and threw it in the garbage expecting me to
never get it back. I REALLY wanted it back so I grabbed
it out of the garbage. I then went into the locker room
and gave it a bubble bath. During its bubble bath, my
friend took it out of my hand, popped it, ripped the eye
out, and re-buried it in the garbage disposing of its
other eye in another garbage. That time, I knew it was
gone. I was very mad at my friend for a long time (not to
mention she elbowed and kicked me during dryland). I
still mention my penguin a lot to her and she always
says, “Just forget about it already.” She is now my
friend. But, she owes me a penguin.

BYE!
HOPE YOU
HAD FUN!
