The model has five degrees of freedom and allows to predict the internal load distribution and calculating the rigidity matrix. Keywords: Four point contac,t roller element, rolling bearings, Cross-roller bearings, quasi-static analisy 1. Introduction.

According to [1], this bearing type is a capable of receiving a radial load, axial loads in two directions, and a moment load. Is usable in an industrial machine, a robot, a medical instrument, a defined semiconductor / liquid crystal manufacturing apparatus, an optical instrument, an opto-electronic instrument, and so on. In that analysis the analised bearings are named 4PCRB. Similarly analysis were made for 4PCBB structures analysed in [2, 3] and 4LCRB. 2. Quasi static analysis mathematical model

Figures 1 and 2 shows a 4PCRB structure and the main geometric elements takes into account for the quasi-static analysis. Supposing the outer ring to be fixed (ORR case) [2] some functions were introduces to permit a quasi static analysis, as follows: id =1 if we refer to the inner left row and id=2 if we refer to the inner right row; jid = 0, 2, Z-1 if id=1 and jid = 1, 3, Z-1 if id=2 with Z = rolling element number. Using the jid convention the angular position of any roller element is given as:

X a

Z For simplicity will consider a constant contact angle as a constant. The contact type modification as function of the contact load magnitude, Q, is tackeing into account by using the Hertz dependence : Q=k.n where: k =KP or k=KL is the contact elasticity, which can be KP corresponding to point contact or KL if line contact occur. In the same way to n parameter will allocate the following values: n = NP=1.5 if contact point exists or n=NL=1.11 if line contact arise. The criterion used to choose between line or point contact type is the passing of the theoretical ellipse length by the real roller length, according to [2, 5, 6].

with: a, y, z are the axial and the two radial displacements of the inner ring and y, z are the angular rotation around the Y and Z axes; U0 and RA are shown in Fig.1; is the contact angle; sdxid =1 if id is1 and -1 if id is 2 and

UR(....) = U0.sdxid + z. sin(id ) + y. cos(id ) r (...) = z. cos( id ) + y. sin( id )

To show the quasi static parameters reparation on a 4PCRB structure a bearing geometry is imposes according to Table 1 and Figures 1 and 2. In that analysis the external load components are shown in Table 2. To solve the quasi-static problem for a 4PCRB structure it is necessary to solve the inner ring(s) equilibrium equations taking into account a axial , two radial and two moment equilibrium equations. The equilibrium is solved using the bearing rigidity matrix similarly as is presented in [2]. The roller displacement can be predicted according to [4].

Conclusion

6.

The mathematic model shows the effect of the external load in the biangular four point contact roller bearings. A computer code is developed to the quasi static analysis of the 4PCRB. The model is useful to drawing the chart limits for the bearing constructors and also for engineers which uses this bearing type in the machine development process. The rigidity bearing is developed and permit to predict the relative ring displacement which have a high influence in the precision working machine. References 1.
