Advice to physician

: Over-exposure may cause local irritation of the

skin and irritation of the respiratory tract.
: Not harmful under normal conditions.
: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin with
water using soap if available. If persistent
irritation occurs, obtain medical attention.
: Flush eyes with plenty of water. If persistent
irritation occurs, obtain medical attention.
: Do not induce vomiting, never give anything by
mouth to an unconscious person. Seek medical
advice immediately and show container label or
this data sheet if possible.
: Treat symptomatically. Ingestion posses the major
hazard.

Suitable extinguishing
media

: Not applicable, granule

: Non-flammable.

: Use alcohol foam, carbon dioxide, dry chemical,

soft stream water fog only if necessary. Contain
all run-offs.
Unsuitable extinguishing : Do not scatter spilled material with highmedia
pressure water stream.
Special exposure hazards : Avoid breathing hazardous vapors, keep upwind.
in a fire
Fire-fighting
: Evacuate area and fight fire from a safe
instruction
distance. Approach from upwind to avoid hazardous
vapors and decomposition products. Fire exposed
containers can build up pressure and should be
kept cool with water spray if possible. Explosive
vapor could form from ruptured containers. Foam

prevent environmental damage from excessive water
run-off. If water is used, avoid heavy hose
streams. If possible, dike and collect water used
to fight fire to minimize run-off.

Personal precautions

Environmental
precautions
Method for cleaning up

: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. No smoking,

flames or fires in hazard area. Keep unnecessary
people away. Isolate hazard area and deny entry.
Wear protective clothing and personal protective
equipment as prescribed in section 8.
: Do not release to the environment in large
amount.
: Collect scattered material and add to the drums of
waste already collected. Repeat if necessary.
Dispose off drummed waste according to the method
outlined in Section 13 "Disposal Considerations".
