P ROJECTS

TRINITY A robot project showcasing intuitive human machine interaction (HMI) using
voice commands (Speech recognition) and Gesture Recognition(Image
processing) which involves a robot car and its control by computer. Key features
are –

Technologies: AVR Programming, .NET Framework, emguCV

(openCV), Microsoft SAPI, C#, C
Image processing is done using emguCV (.NET wrapper of openCV) to
control robot by hand gestures. It can also traverse to a point indicated
to overhead camera
Speech recognition done using Microsoft SAPI. Robot can be controlled
by voice commands like “turn left”, “stop”, “fast” etc.
Wireless communication over Bluetooth between robot and computer
for sending control and feedback signals
Robot can be controlled by keystrokes (arrow/game keys)

wordMint Open Source Intelligent Transliteration Tool for Indic languages. I have
actively contributed to project in research and development both for
over six months to a significant amount in deploying statistical machine
learning to provide better transliteration of Indic languages written
in roman script.
This project was started with an aim to help Indic languages lovers to
use their own language to express themselves in digital world without
any knowledge of traditional keyboard of that language.
Project Website: www.wordmint.org

Robocon – 2008/2007 It is an international robotics competition. In this we developed three autonomous

robots which took 6 months to develop. These three autonomous machines were
required to function according to problem statement of the competition. In
Robocon - 08 it required collaborative work approach to accomplish the
objective. While in Robocon – 07, It was important to score maximum points by
individual machines.

Technologies: AVR Programming, Circuit Design using CAD tools,

Microcontroller programming, robot fabrication
