Introduction
MotoTriage is a phone functional test tool for customer interface test. MASCs use
this tool to verify the phone failure, capture phone informations and QA inspection
after repair.
MotoTriage test is required for all repair level. The tool supports the service center
to inspect the phone functionality.

1. System Configuration
The following information in this section will describe how the MotoTriage software
application needs to be configured for proper operation. Its strongly recommended
that users DO NOT deviate from this list.

PC as specified by Motorola program tools:

Pentium 2.0 GHz processor, Minimum 1 GB RAM, Minimum 40GB HDD

EMU Charger (Refer to V3, L7, W180, W156, W360, W362)
Stereo Headset (EMU) (For V3)
EMU Data Cable (For V3, L7)

Installation setup:
Download the latest version and the model configs from the service web:
http://my.motorola.com/
MotoTriage program is a exe software (Advanced Installer), The MotoTriage
installer file extension is .exe; Just double-click the exe file to install the
MotoTriage application before installing a new version, the previous version
Need to be un-installed. The model files should be changed if there are special notes
in the latest MotoTriage release notes.

1. Double-click on MotoTriage Release.exe

2. Click Next and you get the window with Prerequisites software

3. Enable all the Required software and click to Next

4. If the installation of the Prerequisites software finished the main application starts
the setup.

8. MotoTriage is now installed.


9. Download the latest Model Config files from My.Motorola.com and save the files
locally on your PC. Open the MotoTriage Options menu and add the model config
files under Remote Controll to MotoTriage configuration.

2.0.1 Software setup:


1) Doppelclick on the MotoTriage Icon on your Desktop.

4) The Motorola Phone CIT Test window is open for 3G Milestone.

5) Before the first CIT test on MotoTriage, the Options must be configured.

6) Click on Tools in the Model selection main window and select Options.

2.0.2 Ceasir2 Settings

1. Enable Ceasir 2 upload : The upload of testlog files will be done via WebServices. Enabling
this feature will call a Test of WebService, when the button OK or Apply becomes clicked.
2. LDAP Userid : Apply the login name here
3. LDAP Password : Apply the login password here.
4. Station Id : Max 30 characters
5. Masc Id : The Masc Id does follow naming conventions. First two letters must be alpha
characters. The last 4-6 letters must be of type numeric.
6. Enable proxy : Some it-infrastructures require internet connection via proxy server.
7. Proxy Port : (0 will also disable proxy)
8. Proxy Address : No comment
9. Upload File Instantly : Should be checked. Testlog file will be uploaded immediately. This
check-box will become disabled when Enable Ceasir 2 upload is checked.
10. Size of zipfile : The size of the files before zipping. * Recommended value is 4000-10000.
11. Upload retry time : Seconds to elapse before a failed upload will cause the service to retry
an upload.
12. Upload Queue Path : Defines the path, where the upload files temporary will reside until
successful upload deletes the upload file.

Appendix A:
Front End and Back End configuration for MotoTriage test process.
The Front-End profile will only save Phone Logs (MotoXPRs Data, Panic
Data, Call performance Buffer , Operator Profiling) when available and is
mandatory to be used at the very beginning of all repair processes.
The Back-End profile will test all the basic phone features and will be
used at the end of all repair processes as a quality control check.
Action: To configure MotoTriage, please follow these steps;
1. Save the BE and FE Model config profiles on your MotoTriage
directory, and unzip it in 2 different directories.

2. Open MotoTriage and go on Tools > Options then select Remote configuration
and select the 2 directories created above on the MotoTriage Test Configuration Directory
section.

3. Then click on APPLY and OK.


4. After having selected a model to test, you will be able to see 2
different Start Test Button. One for each profile instead of the single
Classic Start Button.

CEASIR Upload reminder :


Please upload MotoTriage logs (if used) everyday by activating the option to upload Log files
automatically on CEASIR2.
