suggestions, etc. for our church, please share them with the ministry team. Your input is

Mar. 16, Wed.-7 p.m. - Youth Bible Study will meet at the church.
Mar. 16, Wed.-Bowmansville District Sewing Circle-Come for a few hrs or all day.
As we partner with MCC, who in turn partner’s with organizations around the globe in
relief efforts, empowering the poor, give hope and help in the name of Christ.
It takes willing hands and hearts to bring to completion a comforter, a quilt, items to
keep a baby warm, a good days work! MCC informed us of an urgent need for sewing
kits. Sewing is a way for a family to earn extra income. The new contents for a sewing
kit are: 3 spools white thread, 3 spools black thread (each spool 250 yards min. all
purpose; cotton/polyester or 100%polyester), 1 metric fabric tape measure, 1 thimble
(med.size), 1 pkg needles (approx 25), 1 pkg straight pins (opprox 100), 12 matching,
shirt-style, black or white buttons (approx.size ½-1 in;place loose buttons in resealable
plastic bag), 1 pkg sew-on snaps (approx. 20-25), 10 assorted safety pins.
(Dressmakers scissors are supplied by sewing circle)
Mar. 16, Wed.- 7:30 p.m.-Community Lenten Services-Series (Pastor Mike Roney
speaking @ Immanuel Evangelical Congregational Church - 70 W. Main St.,
Adamstown)
Mar. 20, Sun, -This Palm Sunday worship service will include a service of
communion and foot washing.
Mar. 24, Thurs.-7 p.m.-Like last year, our annual Maundy Thursday service will be a
Joint-Maundy Thursday with Red Run Mennonite Church. This year we will host it
here at Gehman Mennonite Church, and it will be held in the sanctuary. This Tenebrae
service (service of shadows) will be a time to read Scripture and reflect on the
sufferings of Jesus. Since this involves two congregations, we also plan a time of
simple refreshments and fellowship after the service. Please note that the service will
follow a different format than in earlier years and will not include a meal, communion,
or footwashing,
April 8-10, Fri.-Sun.-Spring is just around the corner which means our Ladies Retreat
can’t be far behind! Our theme this year is “My Story” based on the song by Big
Daddy Weave. Check the display table in the narthex for info on our speakers and
don’t forget to sign up!
-There will be a breakfast here at church on Easter Sunday. Please see the sign up
sheet in the narthex if you would care to bring something. Thank you!
-Thank you to those of you who handed in your reports for the Gehman Church
Yearly Report. If you have not yet done so, please see that Lillian gets your reports as
soon as possible. Thanks!
-The 19th of March Trevor Gockley would have been 18. The flowers up front are
in remembrance of Him. For those who do not know of Trevor, He died at ten month
old from leukemia. Life here on earth is precious and Heaven where Trevor is should
be our goal. 1st Corinthians 9:24 “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run
but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.” Trevor only needed
to run ten month, let us be faithful in our life’s journey!
Happy Birthday! Wilbur Martin on Wed. and Dayton Kanagy on Sat.
