MIDDLE EAST BRIEFS IRAN A report reveal that Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad revealed he had told President Barack Obama in a letter that his power and success depended on Iran and "he should start cooperating with us in practice." The question is whether reports that also reveal that the Obama administration is already engaged in undisclosed cooperation with Tehran in arrangements that have begun to acknowledge Iran's regional supremacy - “at Israel's expense.” Under these circumstances, Israel would need to initiate ISRAEL proactive steps to counterbalance these initiatives. Any such form of cooperation under those circumstances, with continued antiIsraeli rhetoric by Obama’s administration, would most certainly encourage Ahmadinejad. US-Iranian cooperation is already well in progress in Beirut, where Tehran's surrogate, Hezballah, has been coopted to government and parliament. 04/25/10 WEST BANK Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas has requested that President Obama take forceful steps to impose a Middle East peace deal. This coincides with Palestinian sentiment that “Washington has failed to wrangle concessions out of Israel’s hardline government.” ———— IRAQ Baghdad was recently rocked by bombs ripping through apartment buildings and a shopper’s market. Fifty people were killed. The fears are that this bloodshed will rekindle sectarian warfare that nearly destroyed the country three years ago. It is believed that al-Qaeda is stepping up their attacks. WASHINGTON A SECRET MEMO from US Defense Security Robert Gates was recently revealed determining that the “White House has no effective policy for dealing with Iran's steady progress towards nuclear capability.” This brings into serious question how this will be felt by those that stood behind the US leadership strategy for preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.________ SYRIA Hezbollah’s 25,000 plus terrorist militia is believed to be transforming into a mobile army. This masterplan designed in Tehran and Damascus is reported to include a whole range of sophisticated missiles and assorted weapons. This training could lead to such offensive operations as capturing parts of Israel's Galilee and equipped with hardware for knocking out aircraft, ships and related war-like armored strength. It is assumed that their main mission would be to defend Damascus. This places a fear of Tehran in unleashing its allies against Israel - spearheaded by Hezbollah
